Not a great season but by far not the worst season; I rather liked Isaac as the bad guy. Worst season honors goes to Lumen and the barrel boys.

That season was so bad I literally have no recollection of it, last season was shit as well.
This season was alright, last episode was a bit of a let down but was good to see the end of LaSquirter.

yeah, im thinking that too. i said that last season too but i got hooked in because i wanted to see how deb was going to react to finding out about dexter. after this season finale? no hook for me to ever tune back in. think im gonna say fuck it and catch up on this show after the final season is done or not at all.

This is where I stand. It takes a shitload of awfulness for me to not finish a show. Entourage is the only show I never finished due to how bad it got. This show is nowhere near that level yet.[email protected]/* <

Besides the terrible way to handle Deb finding out Dex is a serial killer, and the terrible finale, this season was overall pretty good. Can you name a season that was more interesting besides the 3 I listed?

I'm shocked at all the hate for the finale. It didn't have any more inconsistancies than any other episode this season. I liked it for two reasons:
1) LaGuerta is dead, and I have hated her for 8 long years.
2) Hannah is still around and she is a fantastic character. I really look forward to seeing what she does next season.
For the first time in a long time I'm actually looking forward to the next season of Dexter.

I loved law-abiding citizen, actually, because the ending was so awesome.
Normally elaborate plan movies are lame because there is some tiny error that ends up making them not work, but getting caught and dying was part of the plan. Gerard didn't want to live, but he didn't want to ever see the lawyer compromise again and he said he never would just as he was leaving the cell, because now he knew what the consequences were. Fucking with the lawyer so he'd never do again what he did to Gerard's case was part of the plan and it worked. Gerard got everything he wanted, then let himself be killed because he was done.

Because she actually survived? Why go through the trouble of making her survive AND escape if she's not coming back. She could have just committed suicide and that'd be fine.
My guess is she comes back, Deb kills her, Deb falls apart, Dexter covers for her and go to prison instead. See the irony is he goes to prison for a crime he hasn't comitted even though he's a serial killer. Alternatively he gets killed because of it. Final alternative, he bangs her sister then they double suicide with a bomb in the police department. During the 9/11 memorial. SHOCKING ENDING YAY.

Lumen made it through an entire season and disappeared so I don't think it's a given that Hannah will be back. It's possible they could do something with her, but she's a wanted fugitive and it would make for a pretty boring season if she was only in scenes where her and Dexter have to constantly meet in secret.
