I can't see D4 being 3 to 4 years away. Maybe back in the days when Blizzard wasn't owned by Activision. They use to take their time to make a game but we're talking about ActiBlizz now. Different company and knowing Activision they will probably want it out as soon as possible. I'm thinking in 2021 we'll see D4.

Whatever they make of it, it had better have fields of monsters to mow through. None of the bullshit entire maps where you find 1 named mob and little else.

Diablo beats the story of PoE hands down. But after you do it once or twice you're done with that part and thankfully in D3 at least you can skip it. I don't care if they use mtx for monetization. None of that does nothing for me so I could skip it, doesn't matter.

Along with a western release of Lost Ark, D2 reforged would be pants-raisingly awesome. But even better? D4 as a modern take on the ARPG genre, because I fully admit my nostalgic bias with respect to D2. Even though I DO still play it.

The most believable thing about the D4 leak is the horses since they can sell you horse armor

But for real though the dirty dark gross aestehtic is exactly what I want. A more open-ish adventure as opposed to an infinite race against time would be refreshing. I'm fucking sick of speedrunning shit in every single videogame.

every season PoE spams the entire region when someone is the first to reach a milestone and that's a pretty engaging way to be like "oh FUCK i need to kill diablo on inferno as a wizard to be the first". I mean Diablo does it as well to a much lesser extent, achievements etc and announces in a clan.

d2 chat channels while you were staring at peoples gear was pretty wild too seeing someone decked the fuck out was a good motivator (again, something they limited to clans)
