That's kind of my point since the release all they have managed to do through the different nerfs is move people to the new spot it's retarded.Crypt has been a farming place for ages.
Also I am totally doing that crypt run with archon until it gets nerfed!I think we were on Torment3 last night which was part of the problem I'm sure. I usually solo on 1 or 2 but certain stuff was destroying me in ways it never used to (like shadow clones were 1 shotting me but this was after we rolled it down to T1).
The first new Wizard build I tried was fire-based. It was a bit goobery but the coefficient on the fire mage blades felt insane and healed me up pretty fast anytime things didn't melt before getting on me.Wizards are extremely survivable actually; paralysis, cold blooded and dominance work well together. Use two electric spells it frost or some of each and you will stunlock from beginning to end. I run ice armor with storm, electrocute with the extend, and then something like blizzard, meteor with lightning or a lightning hydra.
Paralysis procs all the damn time, even with your hydra. You should easily be able to solo t3; the only thing I had an issue with was a gravedigger pack that was fire chains, teleport, fast and poison, just because the base mob type has a knockup, and I don't run teleport. So they'd run to me, knockup, and raped my face. But since nv is gone you can swap to tp on those as necessary. I like running teleport just to speed my movement up, but with ice armor, electrocute and hydra I never need it as an escape. (Notable packs excluded)
Wizards are relatively op right now because of their stunlock, but if you don't use that yea, you might just get wrecked.

I haven't tried fire at all yet; by nature I prefer any game build to be more control based than front loading. (That's for anything, not just diablo.). It just happened to work out well this time around; though Drtyrm keeps getting all my cold increasing LEGENDARIES!The first new Wizard build I tried was fire-based. Arcane + Temporal Flux is actually stronger slow than cold, weirdly enough, you could cobble together some mix of hydra/orb/disintegrate with passives for AP and do well.I haven't tried fire at all yet; by nature I prefer any game build to be more control based than front loading. Might try it out for a change though. I always see something like that and try it and then go back to old builds. Frost 4 life, yo. (Fuck you Drtyrm for taking my stone of Jordan.)
Blizzard is just to keep mobs in the hydra radius longer and for the 10% cold blooded bonus. I'm not a huge fan of it but it has good synergy with my build, especially my electrocute with extended range.Arcane + Temporal Flux is actually stronger slow than cold, weirdly enough, you could cobble together some mix of hydra/orb/disintegrate with passives for AP and do well.
Or just go Frozen orb for the nostalgia and it also wrecks everything once you figure out the distance you need to be so you get max number of shards hitting alon with the explosion. Blizzard is among the weaker spells right now I'd say.
Well I think he did it to show you how fast it can go. I imagine you can easily give a few seconds to loot things, full clear, and take out the named.I watched the vid posted of the guy farming crypt over and over for exp. He was talking about exp per hour doing that, but holy shit if I played like that for 15 minutes I'd end up quitting shortly afterwards. What a dull way to play, he didn't even kill elites or loot anything, what's the point of playing diablo like that?
I'm annoyed at the upcoming hotfix nerf to repeating quests. While something like repeating mira over and over probably should not be profitable, I don't doubt they nerf quest exp to almost nothing. So starting in the middle of an act and knocking out some quests while clearing to the act boss will probably give almost no bonus.
