Exactly. If you're for example trying to gear out a barb AND a wizard then rolling +vitaily amulets gives you the best chances of getting a dual stat useful amulet.I think he means if he crafts +vit, any good roll dex/str/int (+other good stuff) makes for a decent item, while with say a +dex recipe getting +int or +str on top but no vit/more_dex is kinda meh.
I was running VoA mindlessly last night but it seems pretty piss poor in terms of XP/hr. I was still running the route that was basically clearing almost all of Act3. Basically Keep 3, Damned 1, Keep 1, Keep 2, Bridge, Crater 2 then go down the route to kill the spider, Azmo and then the two bosses in Act4. I was getting maybe 20'ish essence/hr and really good XP.Vault of the assassin to black canyon mines is the best route for essences. I'm happy sticking to Alk as it produces enough essences to craft at a rate where I don't smoke through my limited gold and crafting mats too quickly.
Those stats aren't TOTALLY useless. As a Monk, I don't mind something having an extra 150 strength on it, since my resists are high but armor is low. But, all my crafting has done pretty well for me. I did like 10 each of the gloves and shoulders and got solid upgrades, I've done about 21 amulets and gotten 3-4 decent upgrades (can't decide which I like most). None had the trinity of ias/cc/cd on them though.I have to laugh a bit at the new recipes: every single one I've crafted (Dex) has had Int and some kind of useless resistence on it (Physical) plus usually the infamous "Monsters Take 5 pts of damage when hitting player" thing. Funny how RNG is RNG I know. The thing is, I just can't help but think Blizz is still trolling. If the item is account-bound and I buy the Dex recipe, why didn't they just make it so I *couldnt* then roll Int or Str? Would it really kill them to do that? What harm would there be? It is just wasting my time really - its not like the resource costs are significant enough to stop me from making numerous attempts, so why not just eliminate a chance for me to get something automatically useless? I think this is such a poorly designed game is so many ways.
Have you done any crafting before this patch? Cause it's always been this random. When I was making batches of 6 prop bracers not too long after release, I considered myself lucky if I sold 1 in 10.I have to laugh a bit at the new recipes: every single one I've crafted (Dex) has had Int and some kind of useless resistence on it (Physical) plus usually the infamous "Monsters Take 5 pts of damage when hitting player" thing.
