I'd personally swap out archon for teleport unless it really takes you too long to kill shit. Black hole provides a lot of damage and utility holding mobs in place for meteors and out of melee range of you. I'm building cdr where I can so I'm gtg if I ever get a wand of woh, so teleport and black hole are up very often.
Fire better than holy on a crusader? Even with substantial +fire%, shattering throw will outperform combust. Not sure what other spender you're using. Fire hammer? Kinda bad.

I think if you need souls doing rifts that you can quickly clear is the way to go, doubled drop rate and chance at the soul from the guardian. Buffing rates wouldnt be terrible I guess,but I think putting them on elites is too much.
I'm usually limiting myself to one passive (magic weapon with deflection or force depending on torment level) and use more utility spells. Teleport is not coming off my bar, and recently I'm starting to like diamond skin with the explosion rune. It's probably weaker then the straight 10% from familiar but more fun.
Use the bug they fixed 3-4 weeks ago.
The one that stuns with 230ish% dmg AE. Wormhole is ok too but there's a source for that.
What's the process for RIF? I'm all up for abusing shit.
I somewhat disagree. If you play the game to try new gear and builds but the gear isn't dropping for you, botting might solve that.
Join the RIF community. If you want to leech, sit in the channel and wait for someone to advertise that a rift guardian is up, blah blah blah opens the next one. Request invite, join, kill guardian, and if you fit the blah blah blah criteria, you have to open the next rift. Leave game, repeat.
I don't think the game's combat system is deep enough for it to not be a carrot-on-stick luck based loot system. Would I love to have the EQ set? Yes. Do I think running the EQ set will somehow be "more fun" than my current setup? Hardly. So I bot to get the EQ set. I get no sense of satisfaction in acquiring it myself and I never get the "thrill of the drop" when I open up some random ass white chest and the green beam fires. Then what do I do with the game? I play it for absolutely no reason since I could just bot to get the gear anyways?
It isn't really abusing anything. It is just like in clan chat where people advertise guardians open but then with a pay-it-forward sceme where you open the next portal for the runner. The determination for who opens varies on the runner but it is generally either: first in, last in, highest paragon level, lowest paragon level. It is basically a win/win. I'd do it but I generally turn my brain off during rifts and forget to advertise my guardians until they're already dead.
There are a couple of builds that are difficult to use without certain items, agreed. But if someone wants to try new builds, he could try the ones that dont require such specific gear in the interim, instead of not-playing the game until you are given the gear by your demonbuddy. There are alot of possible builds once they look past the 'T6 soloing BiS everywhere' streams.
