You can but it's slow as fuck, at least was on mine, especially since you don't glass canon your gear and use like lvl 30rings with full DPS stats or whatever like you do on SC. I spent a couple of hours farming I think it was expert first, kill speed was much better and you don't lose that much from it anyway, unless you're doing rifts but since it was my first HC char, I didn't have rift shards so I was doing bounties(granted they made bounties scale now so that's something, but still). You need some decent 70 yellows before you can actually do T1 at a decent rate, it doesn't take long but still takes a bit. Again, if it's not your first char and you can craft shit, then it's no problem.

Yeah, I tried T1 and it's a no go with what I got. I'm sitting at 350k damage/7m toughness and it's just way too slow. I'm trying to farm the Act 1 bounties for a legendary weap but I have not gotten a single legendary out of the bag yet after several hours of farming. It almost seems like legendaries have stopped dropping completely at 70.

So I was trying to find information on running Act I bounties actually, is it still most efficient to do normal if you're just after RoRG or does the scaling make higher difficulties better if you can do them fast? My crusader could farm T1 damn near as fast as normal solo, the hard part is finding people to split farm with if I wanted to do that though

For Crusader I've always done them on T1. They just aren't mobile enough to justify trying to speed run normal imo. Plus now it might pay out set pieces!

With Lord Commander + Steed:Endurance and all my CDR I tend to be faster than most right now. Almost max base movespeed too which probably a lot of people on normal are missing. But yea I would do T1 if I could split farm it, is there a community that does that, anyone know?

Edit: Probably helps my speed that I don't actually have to stop moving to kill things with my build, haha.

Lord Commander + Endurance rune + Double duration flail + 50% CDR = steed all day every day.

Split farming is difficult to do when it is hard to find the players. The guild for the most part has gone quiet. Now I do not play at 8pm EST and perhaps it is more active during that time. Picking the T level is all about what you want and are capable of doing. I can confirm that rings do tend to drop more frequently doing T3+ over normal. I busted 8 caches a few weeks ago that were all T4 and got 2 rings. I am looking for the trifecta ring which so far has eluded me out of 8 drops. I have only done about 15 normal caches and none had rings in it. Keep in mind to that T1+ can drop set pieces now along with all other legendaries.

When do others wave the white flag as far as farming an individual item? I've gone through over 2000 shards to Kadala trying to get a Mask for my WD. I've gotten a several crappy legendary helms, but no mask....

I did get a Grin Reaper helm... Anyone have any experiences? Google Fu gives mixed reviews.

I find changing classes can help. Initially I played the WD but had the same problem as you are having being unable to find a mask. I then changed to the Wizard which I enjoyed for about 2 months. Having gotten some good general intel gear, I then switched back to the WD and was able to farm at a higher tier. The game sometimes seems to reward players when they change classes and then come back as I got my Mask the very day I came back to the WD. Still hunting for the gloves though. I am able to handle T4 pretty easily though and so I know eventually I will get them....eventually. After the gloves comes the weapon and perhaps a better neck piece. I have a solid TF and so do not feel the weapon to be as large a deal for the moment.

Interesting. I actually just did the reverse. After casually farming with my Wizard since release and being unable to find any really extraordinary items <No Wand or Mirrorball>, I created the WD and I've gotten a lot of good drops. The problem is I cannibalized my mediocre gear on my Wizard. I'm using the Wizard's TF on my WD.

On my Wizard every other legendary drop seemed to be a crappy 2Her. At least on the WD I don't seem to be getting those.

Join the Bounty Split Farm Community
1. Lower right of your D3 screen click on the communities button
2. Click Find
3. In the Filter box type bounty and click search
4. Right click Bounty Runz and Bounty Split Farming and join the communities
5. Close that window and click on the communities button again
6. Click the red broken link next to each community that you want to join the chat on (You have to do this every time you log in) and the link will turn green. You can only be a part of 5 communities at a time.

Run split runs till you puke.. You can also do this to get into Rift it Forward (You join other peoples rifts, kill the rift guardian and you or someone else who joined opens a new rift for that person) which is a super quick method off gaining blood shards.

I spent 10k shards getting lut socks. Really using RiF it only took me 2 days of pretty casual playing to get those 10k shards too. RiF is fucking retarded broken and trivializes this game.

It took me about 6-7k shards to get my first MoJ and then another 10k shards to get my first Taskers. More than twice that many shards before I got my fucking hexing pants tho. I've gotten like 3 SMKs during that time, just as a point of reference.

I've noticed quite a few WDs running lootshare runs in the witch doctor community. Ive never run them before but I guess they must work out for folks considering their popularity. I can see how lootshare would be effective tho...I've personally given away 3 Masks of Jerams and a few zunimassa chests just in random guild runs.

I'd say the best bet would be doing Rift-It-Forward runs to farm blood shards then just buy helms and gaunts until you've got MoJ and tnt.

As far as grin reaper goes I'd say save it. It's mostly shit but it's the key pieceof the only viable Helltooth build I've tried (without legacy grasps/mojos). The mimics spawn relatively reliably and unlike the haunt of vaxo mimics they WILL cast zombie wall and they DO spam piranhas and grasp of the dead. There are a few other interesting build ideas with the grin reaper out there too.

I have the staff, haven't been in the place since launch. Do you get good stuff out of there running it at high tiers? Is it tough? I can open it up for you any time, I'm online just about every night.

Just as with other Blizzard titles of late me and mine went from playing every evening to never logging in again overnight. Entering the long asymptotic tail of progression with nothing on the horizon just burned us all out and we moved on. Then again with no revenue stream attached to this game anymore I don't see any reason for Blizzard to Carr about longevity
