So I got reaper of souls. Does the game scale at the start to allow new players who don't have any D3 experience and then ramp up suddently? On torment and I got thru Urzael which I assume is pretty early in the first chapter and I don't know if I have taken more than a few points of damage so far, I have not used a potion and I assume they automatically refill now? I haven't even dicked with a build yet, just using what I had long ago which I assume sucks.

Difficulty is a bit weird and is based on your level, once you reach 66ish or so is when it gets a bit harder, but depending on how geared you were at 60, it makes no difference really. Leveling is super easy regardless, though in torment some stuff should pose issues, sometimes. Game kinda starts at 70, it takes like 3-4hours to level to 70 from scratch(like at the start of new seasons when everyone's progress is wiped). Oh and story is also easier than adventure, it has shit for mob density. Just enjoy the story, bump the difficulty up if you feel it's too easy or whatever but then it'll just drag on. Once you reach 70 is when you can start doing rifts and what not and you'll see you'll die to stuff more easily if you push the torment levels up a bit.

Hitting level 70 is easy enough. You can go into adventure mode and do bounties and stuff, or you can do the story over and over. Pump up the difficulty until you don't breeze through mobs. Once you hit 70 it's all about Torment levels. Then you just grind rifts and greater rifts for stuff. Once you get there ask again and we can talk about stuff you can do (or read the last 10 pages and google stuff you don't understand). You can catch up quickly to normal people and start getting into T6-T10 if your luck is good. It becomes all about Paragon levels if you really want to push higher rifts.

Then again, I'm talking about seasonal characters, you might be playing a regular character.

Hit 67 and still on torment. I haven't died yet so we'll see.

Yes I'm just playing a regular character going thru. Haven't looked at seasons yet. I have only been able to replace one item of gear so far. I could change out some gems for more powerful ones and did a few.

Seasonal character is the same thing, but there is some new gear. A season lasts for like 3-5 months apparently and once it's done, the character moves to your normal roster. The beginning of the season everyone starts over like a fresh account with no stash or anything to work from. The majority of people play inside a season.

Seasons have leaderboards and shit like that if you were playing "hardcore". There are achievements and stuff to go after as well.

Looks like some pretty cool stuff. New areas and monsters again, this feels like a lot of new shit for free patches. If they do 2.5 like that again, it'll be basically an expansion worth of content for free, minus a new class, which is pretty impressive.

Well I guess I was removed from the guild by Mudcrush because after he disappeared on me while he was power leveling me in HC last night and today I saw him online and told him he disappeared.

Then he removed me. I didn't know the clan was such serious business. Didn't even tell me, just noticed I was removed.

Man, some people. I guess that it's just Mudcrush's clan now and not the forum one. Tiptoe around that guy. Good thing clans don't matter at all.

D3 just needs another new game. This iteration just is not really working. Everything they've added still doesn't fix the core problem of there not really being a huge reason to log in. You get your set. You can kill Torment10. You can do some GRs. But without any economy or super rare uniques it still makes the game stale super quick.

I cared more about the Hearthstone panel so watched that. I'll probably go back and watch this later, was just curious on cliffs. The only thing I know is what is on that slide
You pay gold (cost depends on GR level -- it was like 54m for a mid tier GR and 540m for a high end GR) and you get +1 more roll for upgrading legendary gems
