Someone on reddit posted a lightning build but he dual wield both lightning swords(thunderfury which procs a chain lightning and some other sword which makes mobs that take lightning damage do damage to mobs around them). With those you can just whirlwind and destroy everything apparently. The stun ring would be insane with those 2 swords though. Really love those elemental synergy legendaries, makes for some cool builds, sadly it also means they're hard to make since they rely on multiple legendaries which are purely random drops. But I guess you just farm with whatever you like until you get enough legendaries to do specific builds on other stuff.

What would you witch doctors recommend build wise for a fresh 60? Right now I can do TI, but anything beyond that is incredibly difficult and I am have a hard time finding a decent build with my own experimentation.

Just got this, I was wearing a Tal's that was really good but this one just barely beat it out. The proc is cool too.

Oh my. Shame the RM AH isn't working still, that thing would sell for quite a bit with the current build.

Who's running the clan? Need to get an invite.

Also - don't fuck up and accidentally reset your story line... Quite annoying.

Are demon hunters still made out of paper? I haven't played since a month after the game came out.
Since they nerfed the shit outta gloom, yes. We had out tanky moment previous patch, it was awesome, it's over now.
Yes and no? They are very much made out of paper, but they at least have skills now that increase defenses if need be. Shadow power is pretty useless now, instead I'm using evasive fire:hardened, which increases armor 25%, and fan of knives: bladed armor, which increases armor 65%. I take a lot less damage with those two skills and when I need healing I use a new smokescreen rune called healing vapors, it is a % based heal and you'll soon have a large health pool with the new gear, I doubled my health from about 50k to 100k so that % goes a long way.

And you can build tankier than that if need be.

So now that the initial novelty has somewhat warn of and people have managed to play around a bit what is the verdict? Are people going to buy the x-pac now? Is the game better? Is this just a polished turd?

For me I've been having a blast with some RL friends. Picking up loot that I can actually equip and see my dps and toughness increase dramatically over the past few days is pretty nice. I'll be playing for at least this week I think, though I still haven't made up my mind if I'm going to buy it or not.

Companion pig is also 20% all resist, 900ish life regen(pretty crappy but it's something) and 30secs cooldown aoe taunt for 4secs. So like a templar but with resist and you can still use a DPS follower(or enchantress if you have some good int gear). Also does cleave dmg for 40%weapon dmg, not very good but eh that's "free". There's also a passive with +10%life/AR/Armor and 10%cost reduction on disc abilities, if you want more stuff, there's a dodge passive in ros but like, it's a dodge passive, 20%dmg reduction on turret/traps/grenades, 3x1.5% life regen when standing still for a bit, shadow power still even though it's a fuckton weaker now and the RoS skill has a rune that fires slow aoe missiles that heal for 6% max health for every target hit(90secs cooldown on the skill though).

So there's some stuff, even if you're not gonna reach monk/barb level of tanking. The thing that doesn't seem that great though is wizards seem to be doing a fuckton more damage. Might change if they nerf APOC though, as currently the "issue" is wizards can basically spam spenders almost non stop and the spenders are very strong, while DH has to keep using builders which are fairly weak and the spenders aren't even that great in comparison.

Nice, I made a post on the official forums friday stating I didn't see the need to remove the guaranteed legendary drop from sk considering its boa and you have to run through the full story and instead they should move it to diablo so it feels epic and keeps incentive to alternatively do story mode for a change from adventure mode and they are doing just that.

I can't remember the name, but last night someone in the clan got a legendary bow that makes elemental arrow *GENERATE* 3 hatred.

Unreal.

Yeah, the bow that turns elemental arrow into a hatred generator is definitely a build changing piece of gear.

It's Kridershot, I have one. It's insane, better than my Manticore in practice even if it lowers your char sheet DPS by a lot. It can roll as either +3 or +4 hatred btw.

I will almost certainly buy the expansion now... maybe even pre-order if you get some kind of bonus for it.

Something as simple as adding clans makes the game feel much more "alive". I don't know... I guess I like the ability to interact with others beyond just joining their game.

The update did it's job. Got 2 days play out of it before it became fairly boring again. Gameplay seems much better, but still lacking subtlety to character progression to keep it interesting.

Will probably getting the xpac under the assumption that it will give about 2 weeks worth of somewhat interesting gameplay with friends, and then put on "a couple weekends a year" status.

They key to using hatred spenders as DH is to have blood vengeance. I don't have to use hatred builders much (and I use evasive fire/hardened for that which is 4 hate a shot).

Yeah, having a clan certainly does make the game seem more "alive". That is probably a big reason why I continued to play d3 longer than most is I made a bunch of friends through the teamliquid community. They even have a clan window now and it has everyone's characters along the bottom like they do in d2 chat channels, looks neat.

With the expansion right around the corner I'm sure there will still be plenty of people up to and after the expansion at least for awhile. There are much worse ways to spend $40.

Did you miss that every legendary is now account bound ?

You get some angel wings or whatever(they look the same as the CE one but yellow I think) and the demon hunter character in Heroes of Storm for free. You don't actually need to preorder though, just need to register a key before march 31st(or well you need to preorder if you buy it from Blizzard directly).
