I need Raekor's boots to make the Charge set. Still only have the EQ set shoulders (and a dupe of them too!)

I'll trade you some shoulders for a dupe of your helm and gloves.

Get it. We can't trade! lololol.

You'll get there.
I find this to be an absolute bullshit argument. I don't know if something is wired wrong in my brain or what but I don't mind the 0.1% chance of drop. I played D2 without the crutch of D2JSP and with very, very limited trading because I enjoyed the carrot on stick gameplay. I don't know if it is the WoWification of gamers or what but I don't expect shit handed to me on this easily defined on-rails path on how to obtain it.

So how many legendaries per hours do you get when you RiF?
One day I just sat in chat and joined groups. Blew about 100 rift shards opening them. Different groups makes lowest/highest paragon open the next one or last one to join opens it. Of all the bosses only 1 dropped a leggy which was crap. Blew about 800 shards on a WD pet mask to come out a decent carni mask. Got a fuckton of Leorics and Broken crowns tho

The problem starts when your entire build hinges on getting a specific item that's incredibly rare.

for instance- I have 2 RL friends who play barbs. One was able to finish his EQ set and get a cindercoat and is loving the game. The other one has been playing with me x2 as much as the other guy, is 1 piece short of getting his EQ set. All he does is bitch now that he cant get the last piece, and I'm pretty sure he flat out gave up since I havent seen him around the past few days. Fucking lol.

I could experiment, but what should I be spending my points in as a Barb who like to dual wield. Do these points really make a different at lvl 10 paragon?

You can reset at any time without penalty so it doesn't matter

Cant agree more with you. Id +1 you but you already have a manly post count so whatever.

The salty tears over loot in this thread are match in heaven with my fries. Lets say trading was available for the sake of debating. Id get the missing set piece am looking for, crush a few rifts and lose interest in the game. So yea, no thanks. I like my carrot where it is.

Link your armory of your main char, just out of curiosity. If you're really 1 set piece away and grinding for it and have this attitude then kudos to you.

Oh I just got my second Rimeheart. I am the double 1%er. Neither of them rolled with primary stat or socket, pretty awesome on top of their already clearly amazing special ability.

It's in my sig. I play purely because I like it and to socialize with people. Loot is just a bonus for me. I prob need (would like) 2 or 3 things for WD, everything else would just be stat increases.

Many, I'd say most, of the people on this forums are here for friendship. They don't have friends to play with or they don't want to play with friends or whatever the fucking reason is. And the rest of us pay for it.

I don't know even by Rerolled Neckbeard Salty Gamer standards you seem pretty jaded on this subject. The fact is people are going to find farms that have the best payout.. Doesn't matter if it's Meph runs, or Pindle runs, or Baal runs.. some people like the farm the same shit over and over again. The more they try and put restrictions on it the worse it gets. They said "we don't want people farming one mob over and over so they made all act bosses drop dogshit loot" now they make you farm one mob over and over again for crafting materials. They guys running this game don't know what to do with it and everytime they try and lock something down it blows up in their face. How many times has the shitty quest system in this game been the cause of exploit after exploit.

People want to RiF because it's more rewarding than playing the game, people bot because it's more rewarding than playing the game, they need to cut out all the restrictions and just make it fun to play the game and rewarding which seems to be your point. I doubt anyone would disagree but the chances of that happening are slim to fucking none.
Damn right I'm salty. But you are right, cut out the restrictions and make the game fun to play would definitely work for me.

I love how you base the state of the game off of 1 forum, with mostly shitty gamers who complain about everything lol.
I also read the bnet forums. It can have some decent info, at least the monk ones did. Shitty forums slanted towards whiners, for sure, but probably the most active ones too. Either way, I don't need to know the state of the playerbase 100% in order to make somewhat safe conjecture here. Look at those published drop numbers. Combine it with the current state of the game. Most people will quit or resort to RIF.

Getting tired of a game that doesn't introduce new content is aproblem with the coreof almost every game ever.
Don't mistake me, for now, there's enough content in this game. The problem is that a lot of it hidden behind minuscule drop rates. Vorph made a very cogent point a few pages back. People will play MORE, not less, if you increase the drop rate. I have no interest in playing a wizard with the current drop rate. I barely have any interest to finish my crusader. But higher drop rates means I want to try out a WoW wizard. Or a velvet camaral and ball of hate.

Fuck, don't mess with WoW drop rates. Once in my life I'm a 1.63%er and it feels good. Feels damn good!!

It's pretty difficult to be motivated to log in knowing that the patch will improve your odds of getting the items you want and provide better RvR.

I think if Seasons work like D2 Seasons, they're going to need to drastically increase Legendary Drop rates, or start giving us a way to pursue specifics legendary items and sets. If they gave Campaign Malthael a guaranteed class set item drop every first kill, people would be running campaign non-stop. That points out a fairly serious problem. People want a Full Set + Specific Leg because it enables builds that are capable of doing higher difficulties. They don't want that shit because the build is cool or fun, they want it because it's a requirement.

If the possible builds were better optimized, there would still be build-changers, like the Wand of Woh, but if you didn't have a Wand of Woh yet, you could still go with a Meteor Build.

I think people would be less frustrated if their situation was "I need a better roll on a belt toefficientlydo a higher difficulty" rather than "I need to get these exact 3 items all with good rolls to have any advancement at all"

I think they'll add a bunch of crafted items to help people fill gaps.
