Yeah there's definitely a collision-based limit on the the number of mobs that can surround and melee a target. It's one of the (MANY) reasons wrathgarg is so terrible... he looks like he should be able to hit mobs from afar but in fact he needs to be right next to them, and if theres a dog or fetish in the way he sits there holding his dick or he fucks off to clobber some white mob.Is there a limit on amount of pets able to hit one mob? I'm using poison garg, poison dog (with the ring that combines it into 1 big dog), and fetish sycophants passive. Waaay too much of the time I see the dog (and sometimes the garg) standing idly next to me, especially when fighting a single elite / rift boss. Occasionally, he'll go up and swing once or twice, then return to my side. Sure I've got a shit ton of Fetishes whacking away, but my dog is doing 15 mil crits whereas the garg and sycophants are around 2 mil, so it's quite a bit of missing DPS.
Also you want to use the burning dogs rune with big dog... the aoe fire aura MASSIVE now... mine hits for 20-21m. Been considering stacking +fire and going full on firedoc just for the bigdog. Bigdog takes up slightly more melee space than a couple regular dogs (about the same space as the garg) but he's worth it. Definitely less tank tho. I've been toying with going with just biddog+garg until they fix the zuni+fs overwrite issue.
EDIT: I actually made a video for a guildie yesterday to show how firewalkers works out with hexingpants(doing stutterstep with frogs for hexing pants). I cant make or edit videos so it sucks and trying to get a good showing for the firewalker dot gets me killed at the end but you can see the dog damage with just +20% fire here: (Pardon the video quality, I dont fraps very often and edit videos even less)
