PoE you get to do that too and in most other games you get to create and level a brand new character to respec so as long as you're not trying to pretend it's unique to d4 we're all good on this one, i'd love a reset all button on arpgs.

Is poopsocking hardcore until you get bored and then saying "man I got bored fast" while arguing for it to go even faster by not having to even interact with the loot portion of the game not a bit ironic?

I'm sure everyone is gonna hop in and say "lol sucking kotick penis white knighting bad game" but i'm, once again, just pointing out that all these things everyone supposedly hates about this game exist in every other game in the genre, too, so maybe it's just not the genre for some of you guys. I'd love most of this stuff to be different too but it never has been and probably never will.

I lost a hardcore character in PoE back in the day to some bullshit. I cleared a screen of mobs, stood still for probably 15 seconds or so identifying loot, went to move and instantly died from full health. No mobs on screen, no nothing. No possible explanation other than some bug (it wasn't a post death explosion or anything like that, literally nothing just an empty screen). Was one of the final straws for me and playing hardcore.

The point wasn't the negs-- but rather the marvelous speed and efficiency with which the Apologists are able to mobilize and provide a reason why X Y Z issue with D4 isn't really an issue at all.

Including by sandbagging and inadvertently demeaning the game itself if it means being able to completely dismiss criticism of the game or it's lack or QoL.

"Fuck those NM dungeons NM is trash" and "Dem Sigils suck anyway" were serious replies from the Emergency Response Team in response to the presentation of a clearly unintended consequence of the live service.

It's normal behavior. In d3, they were consumed on use , if you DC'd zoning in or anytime in there, you lost it. Gone.

Going to assume based on Xevy's post, that the same thing can happen in PoE for maps. No clue myself.

I react to a post within 6 minutes while catching up on the thread and this clown thinks it's proof that i'm here 24/7 to white knight for blizzard, meanwhile he's posting every 5 minutes for who knows how long, because losing his nm sigil hit him like losing a jackpot winning lotto ticket would hit a normal person.

So basically your defense is other games do things shittily so this one gets a pass?

No. 30+ years of ARPGs to recognize what is good and improve upon it. 23 years since D2 to take what is good and improve upon it. 11 years since d3 to see what players are having fun with and improving upon it. They made 69% of a game knowing that apologists will flock in and "lol suck kotick penis white knighting bad game" and casuals won't see endgame for another month minimum while they collect data on this latest paid open beta.

There are many fun things in this game, but there are as many awful parts and whether someone plays for 10 or 1000 hours they exist and they are shit.

The core game is here and waiting, but it will be years for them to flesh it out to something good (and it will eventually be) but it's nothing anyone should be defending.

I have interacted with loot plenty. 2 completely different builds worth of gear sets capable of pushing T50+ for the same character and a second char in endgame. I've done all the renown, side quests and all, and aside from beating uber lilith what else is there when the best part of an ARPG is bland? Grinding small packs and watching mediocre loot on the floor that you can't filter and the only pieces you want tied to maybe 5-10 stats that all characters will use out of this pool of garbage? It's basically d3 sets at this point with more steps. They had the time to make something great and instead we got something that simply exists in the space.

PoE I've never stopped playing out of pure boredom and I've got 10x the amount of hours despite it having its share of shit, but at least they spice it up multiple times per year and we know Blizzard won't pump content out at even a third of PoEs pace.

I think the complaint is that you are specifically grinding out sigils with whatever bullshit you're looking for. Like in POE Maps. But then you burn it without having actually used it so your X hours of grinding out the ideal sigil is now gone and not because you played bad.

Even not having this QOL improvement so you don't lose sigils. Bliz can just LITERALLY STEAL THE POE MAPS machine. Make it a Diablo pentagram nightmare summoning thing or some shit. Then the thing opens up right in front of you.
