Want to have some fun go Veno mid sometime and just build him straight agility. Went 13/0/20 or something stupid once. It doesn't always work but can be fun.

(Newbie perspective, think I'm like 14 and 5 now.)

I've had quite a bit of luck playing Io a few games now. I feel like I'm contributing a lot when I heal / mana up teammates. If all my items are up and I tether, you can get someone back in the fight quite fast, resulting in quite a few assisted kills. Overcharge is quite nice too. Spirits are quite nice to harass at the early stages, too, with the massive range...I think the past two games I've played, I've completely shut down a couple of melees I was up against, as they had to keep running back to heal. One poor dude kept going up against me without any help and I think I was like level 8 and he was still 4 or 5.

Unrelated:

Lots of quitters in the newbie bracket, really annoying. From one perspective it's mostly been the other team that quits, which results in an easy win, but it's boring. It sucks when you just finally get a 5,000 gold item and then the other team starts quitting and you can't even do anything with it. Not sure if this is less of a problem as you go up.

Last night I had a game where two of my team quit even though we were roundly destroying the other team from the start. We still couldn't manage to win with the two player deficit and ended up losing after quite a boring 45 minutes with many kills and few deaths of our own.

Just take a break like I am until the morans get tired of losing 200 straight and leave (or maybe get better!).

Leavers get better but the amount of people who think they're only one rung below professional and feel the need to judge your every move goes up
As many people judging others as there are, there are as many or more people ignoring advice and getting shit builds/items that lose games for their team.

Its actually pretty rare for someone to give you advice after a few deaths, they just start flaming and in reality only making it worse on them, the player being flamed then loses any care to win and most of the time they want to lose just to spite the nerd raging at them.

Sounds about right. I'd say half the time a kid flames the guy that died a couple times just because it's a knee jerk reaction "we are losing, lets blame someone quick so no one thinks its my fault", the other half is probably that other player being terrible for real. Very rarely does the terrible player ever ask advice or acknowledge he's doing terrible. Every game is different but those are the scenarios encountered more frequently.

People who complain about match making must of never played Dota1.
Actually it was much better if you used things like Dotacash, once your elo hit around 1500-1600 most games were fairly even. MM in Dota 2 is horrendous.
