I think if Im a captain vs IG I first ban Lycan and especially Ember Spirit every time. Ferrari's Ember is another level than any other player in dota with that hero.

With regard to brood, yea tweak was the wrong word...the hero needs changed completely it just causes too many issues.

Nah Brood's mechanics are just a boring as fuck hero.
Yeah probably need a rework. I don't think it's that bad but if she had the ability to fight anywhere on the map instead of camping one lane, the hero would be quite nice I think, even though by design she's a rat dota hero, all she does is splitpush and farm the enemy jungle, and sometimes teamfight but fairly poorly. She's like a shitty furion pretty much at the moment though.

I wanna see some of the newer heroes too in -cm, Zet should be pretty amazing played by pros, even though he looks broken as fuck. Earth Spirit and Phoenix are probably still kinda broken too but eh, compared to bat rider they might not be that bad.

I think a change with something like having her web be an active that drains mana slowly but creates a large web around her, would be awesome.

In pubs she is probably the most annoying offlaner to deal with, thanks to the movespeed and regen the webs provide. She need to be more mobile, so mabye make the webs destroyable, but make their spawning charge based ala earth spirit, so she can make her battlefiled wherever she goes ?

ESL is fucking horrible at scheduling, bo3 final for event this big is stupid, but the games are making up for it.

I think copying ES charge thing and making her webs innates would be nice. Remove movespeed/regen from them entirely, just provide invis/movement but recharge every 10secs or whatever and up to 6 held at a time with max 6 on the map. Then you have a free skill that can be changed to whatever, I don't think keeping her movespeed and regen is particularily a good idea, she should run out of regen if she spams soul ring(or at least have to buy tranq boots to compensate) and movespeed+terrain passing+invis is a pretty retarded idea and makes her annoying as shit in pubs. Instead it could be an actual teamfight skill so she can do that. Maybe like a dot similar to QoP's dot that increases damage from spiderlings and generates spiderlings when you attack the target. Also spiderlings probably need to be reworked.

Hero is a mess to be honest, it's not very fun to play with or against. I'd just go with a full rework of her skills see exactly what you want her to do. I think if you want her to be a pusher she needs to be able to generate stronger spiders or generate them more effficiently than via killing creeps while providing teamfight advantages instead of being entirely reliant on splitpushing(either by making her not suck in combat or providing team buffs) and if she's to be a carry(like her ult and her passive would suggest), then she needs to lose some of the pushing power/split pushing shit and instead get good at that.

How much is the prize pool in the biggest League of Legends tournament? Which game is bigger now?

It's much lower because they run a full season league with multiple events and shit, plus they pay teams salaries, so the numbers on the actual prize pool is lower but it doesn't really mean they're spending less money. Last year for the final event, they had a 2million prize pool for that last international event.

What they do is fundamentally very different than dota with its ton of smaller(and bigger) tournaments being run all the time by various people while they have regional weekly LAN tournaments run mostly by Riot(with obviously advertisement and shit). It gives them a much higher production value in general though, since they organize everything and shit.

As for which game is bigger, the answer is always LoL. Doesn't really matter what dota does that might be bigger at one point, LoL just has many more players. Don't think it matters much though since dota also has a fuckton of players, there's some overlap but not much and there's enough people for the 2 scenes to thrive just fine, don't need to fight over who has the biggest dick, especially since it's always Riot. If Valve had picked Icefrog before the HoN thing, it might have been different(as in dota releasing a couple years earlier) but going against LoL at this point is like going against WoW, you just have to wait for it to die on its own cause no one's killing it.

There is also the issue of regional entrenchment. Pretty much all areas had the WC3 Dota mod, but LoL was the 1st notable "next gen" version of that to hit the market. That coupled with its F2P model allowed for very powerful growth. For instance, LoL got into the Korean market 1st and became the "it" game. Think Starcraft in Korea and how hard it was for other RTS games to replace it.

After TI4 and the inevitable media coverage (no matter how scant), Riot will probably try to step up their game. I wouldn't be half surprised if they attempt to replicate Valve's model, although they would have to build that functionality from the ground up since AFAIK their client doesn't support stuff like that yet. Regardless as to a person's stance on the 2 games, both sides seem to agree that DOTA2's spectator client and compendium/crowdfunding tournament model is the superior one.

I think LoL is hobbled by its humble beginning when it was very cheaply made game, judging by how difficult it is for them to add new features to the game and how many problems they had with adding new servers and migrating existing realms. Valve codes for the future.

Biggest obstacle for Dota2's growth right now are the system requirements I think, even though I can almost run it on a 4 year old laptop, the game looks much worse than LoL and I still get random framerate drops, LoL runs without any problems. If you just want to play a game with friends, that is big. There's also the steam problem, you need to run another service to run Dota, whereas LoL is it's own self contained client. I understand there's a very good reason why it is like that, but if Valve wanted bigger playerbase right now, they could do it. It's also interesting to see how each game approached the monetization. LoL can give each region their own prices, because the accounts are non-transferable, whereas Dota needs one price to fit everybody outside China (random though: do you remember when every new set was 10$ and then they suddenly slashed the prices across the board ? I wonder why...)
