Anecdotal: I'm not sure if it's a symptom of so many changes in general or changes in the comeback mechanics, but it seems like 70 percent of the games I play in myself or spectate at high MMR are blowouts. I've been involved in numerous ~55 kills to 20 kills wins or losses and I've been seeing a lot of such games come up at the top of the spectate bracket. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing depending on your point of view.

Maybe it's a little too hard to come back right now? Or time will tell if things even out.

My first game of the patch my team was down 9-37 about 15-20 minutes into the game. We ended up finishing with more kills than them and winning. Granted, the other team was greedy, overconfident, and weren't very good, but we obviously had some window lickers too.

In any case we came back from what looked to be a blowout.

Well scaling carry can still win you the game, but it's a lot less likely since even supports balling out of control can close out the game rather easily. They nerfed the comeback, especially the xp bonus, so you don't end up with +3 levels after a teamfight, or at least it's not as likely, so you probably aren't winning the next fight if you didn't hit like lvl 3 ultimates in the process. It's nice to see pro picks all over the place, almost anything seems viable right now.

Well, all that aside, in typical classic fashion I'm expecting Alliance to lose Game 2 in 17:24 and if possible Game 3 even faster.

I don't even know anymore. Na'vi has these games where they just leave you scratching your head.

That being said, the biggest issue in that game is Xboct being incapable of figuring out what his role should be in that situation. Feeding like an idiot, then feeding some more was not the plan.

I hope Dendi bails Navi after TI5. I don't see any possible scenario in which they have a good TI. I'd love to see him play with some fresh faces. Fuck maybe they just need a new carry, his decision making is god awful. Xbox needs to retire and start casting or some shit.

In unrelated news I'm still butthurt that Kuroky isn't 1 position on secret. Guys hero pool is unbelievable and would be fun to watch this patch.

I recall reading that Dendi doesn't want to leave Ukraine and joining any other major team would more or less require that.

Maybe we'll see the reverse of normal and Empire will poach Na`Vi players.... I think their issue is drafting, I'm still puzzled why they punted Goblak after DAC where they had a bit of success.

Teams with well known drafters seem to be the only ones who are successful in the west (e.g. ppd, EE, Fng, Barkingmad and Puppey/Kuro/S4). There are quite a few teams with good individual players but they seem to only have intermittent success as they discover a viable strat before getting banned out.

For me the pro scene seems dull at the moment as we don't see much of the top tier teams.
