Kemal Sadikoglu on Twitter:

Looks like its true. Bulba to Secret, Universe back to EG. Further Rumor is Aui is getting kicked and Zai is coming back.

Means both have to go through open quals I guess, but considering how shit they were doing its prolly worth the risk.

No idea if either of these teams will work though. On paper they look pretty good, but we've all seen what that means.

Yeah, Universe out of Secret, Bulba in and Secret goes through open quals. Holy shit they actually did it.

EG took Universe back and rumor has it they kicked Aui for Zai with Fear back to carry, also have to go through open quals.

LOL

Considering that what they all really need is practice playing together, going through quals might actually be a net benefit. They get practice playing together. If they fail we get to harvest the hilarity. Seems like a win-win to me.

I just can't take Secret seriously. Even if they manage to get through the qualifiers and were objectively good, the whole team just seems like a joke. Which sucks because the first incarnation seemed like it would be a great power house, and I can't think of any reason to not like Puppey.

I thought yesterday the rumor was Zai to Kaipi? It'd be nice to see what they could do coming back together after their little break. If it reinforced the relationships and teamwork they had... not like it could be worse.

Zai is currently playing for Kaipi, but is a standin for EG, since Valve allows 1 standin in case one of the players is suddenly unavaiable, and standins can participate in open qualifiers. Once he qualified for an Valve event, he would have to stop being a standin.

Secret is exactly like Newbee/LGD, the lineups are pretty much put together to win TI or die trying. My biggest beef with them is how selective they have become in playing events, I think they didn't have to play a single qualifier since TI5, so you see them play once a month or so and if they lose, that's all.

I think EG still gets a champion invite, I think its the one circumstance where there is going to be an exception made for the TI6 invites. Universe/PPD/Fear/Sumail is 4/5 winners, they are not going through opens for my money.

Guess we will see after the Major wraps up, Secret leaked the open qualifiers are on 21st June.

I don't think they should, not because I have anything against EG, just because I don't like the 'oops we forgot to add this rule do we're going to go ahead and make an exception.' Then if they want to address the situation across the board after TI6 it'll be more base line. I think they're going to have more than a few of these situations that need to be firmly addressed in the roster lock rules.

I don't think they need to completely formalize rules for the invitation, keeping them at least a little bit nebulous makes for a bit more hype and teams should feel like they need to work their ass off to get invited to the biggest payday of the year. Last year Secret tore through 4 LANs in a row, bur they still won more for 5-6th at TI... IIRC the only time not all of the deserving teams weren't invited was Kaipi before open qualifiers, which were introduced a year later to solve that.

Of course they don't need to "completely formalize" them, but what they do need to do is react accordingly when issues come up that could be mitigated by some guidance in the rules. And not knee jerk react b/c a darling team decided they couldn't play together and split apart but now want a handout invite just b/c they're <insert name / accomplishment>. There's not really anything great to compare it to or make a bad analogy. I'm just saying, if that's the way it is going to be that is fine, but let's ratify it after TI6 and then overcome the next issue.

Newbee was terrible after their win, Same with Alliance, I'm quite sure they both got champion invites. Even if it wasn't the same 5. I don't think its a stretch to say EG will get a champion invitation. It's always been the exception to "earning" the invite for that year alone. Its like they won the immunity challenge on TI invite survivor last year. Newbee was not a deserving team last year (on that years merits), they finished in the bot 16 at the main event.

Why do people keep picking Prophet in to BM and Sven, etc...? Oh now Timber. Well congrats. Stop doing retarded shit against a Beastmaster that has global vision and travel support. And Na'Vi should know this b/c they just beat Alliance two games in a row with the same strat.

FATA played like shit, and Kuro was a bit off (wtf at those ults), but they still managed to end the games in a hurry.
In the last X amount of fights, Dendi was just blinking really poorly and dying without getting out a bunch of screams.

Some of these T3 holds are just incredible. There are so many aspects of dota, but in these pro games the T3 stad and Rosh fights are just.... fucking awesome.

I don't know how unranked (hidden) MMR works, but I must be getting significantly better fast. The MMR of my teammates has gone up about 800-1000 in the last week. Unfortunately I didn't do so hot in the latest game, but I guess it's good to see improvement.
