Normally I wouldn't post in here, because luls, but: I have absolutely no idea why you're saying this. I work with both on a regular basis. VMware is leagues ahead of Hyper-V in enterprise scenarios. The only reason you'd want to go with Hyper-V above VMware is cost, so, small/medium business that already owns a Windows Server license and needs to use Hyper-V for "free" (not to mention instant support for SCVMM/SCOM/whatever that also Runs On Microsoft).Why VMWare and not HyperV? Maybe VMWare still has more of the market, but for functionality, HyperV blows VMWare out of the water.
Go with VMware. Unless Microsoft pulls their heads out of their asses (which is probably not in the cards), Hyper-V will never best ESXi, for the same reason that no one's been able to outright beat Windows' massive presence on the desktop.
