Why would anyone expect RDR2 or TLOU 2? We already know RDR 2 is delayed to spring 2018, so putting more stuff out on it now would make no sense. There was no way TLOU 2 was releasing this year, naughty dog is one of those mostly-1-game studios so they released UC4 last year and been mostly working on UC4 dlc this year, I wouldn't be surprised if its a 2019 game.

I guess we are just retarded to expect possible game footage for a game coming out in under a year at an expo specifically made for showing off games for publicity. But hey we got Spiderman 2 with no release date 2 years in a row.

TLOU2 possible progress update? Also apparently stupid to expect.

The games showed were interesting, but outside the VR portion only Utnayan cares about, no new IP and very few new titles were shown. I mean the only two reveals were Monster Hunter and the Shadow of the Colossus remake (maybe the Call of Duty game too?).

Absolutely shit conference all around. You know it's bad when Ubisoft has the best presentation. Most annoyed by Bethesda, though it's close between them and Sony. Now watch Nintendo bring down the house tomorrow

*technically* E3 doesn't actually start until tomorrow so there's some hope for some other shit still.

Sony didn't spend 15 minutes debuting a rl car so I'm not calling theirs dogshit. Disappointing is what I would call it.

Yeah they spent 15 minutes blowing out everyone's eardrums with god awful audio.

I'd rather have the shitty Porsche commercial.

unless you are into indie games there isn't going to be anything new outside Nintendo

I still liked the conference, first I just ignore any games that are 2018+ cuz who gives a fuck about games I can't play this year. Things that were good

- new xbox one X with a price. Its not an amazing console, but if I can upgrade for $200-300 ... well, why not I guess. games will look slightly better, thats pretty much it.
- battlefront 2 looked cool, i liked it and will pre order
- assassin's creed origins looked cool, will pre order
- Wolfenstein II looked really cool and the collectors edition looks great, pre ordered
- South Park looks great
- Looking forward to playing UC4 DLC, Horizon Zero Dawn DLC (surprise to me), and Dishonored 2 DLC
- Shadow of Mordor 2 looks great and is out in like 3 months
- Liked what I saw of Destiny 2 and COD WW2
- Sea of Thieves and Crackdown 3 looked ok, not sure to be honest about either
- oh, Ni No Kuni 2 looked pretty awesome. Pretty niche, but i really wanna play the first one on my ps3 this summer

It wasn't the greatest lineup of games and there wasn't anything that made me sit up and go GOOD GOD I HAVE AN ERECTION, SIR but its six months of good games

I just got home from watching the entire Sony E3 conference at the movie theater. It was... very underwhelming. There's 2-3 games total that I'm a little interested in, and one of them was from last year (Spider-Man). Oh well. At least I got some bullshit "swag".

I had quite a few E3 VIP Vouchers that I gave to first come first serve people. (7 total to given out). They had to be redeemed by the 20th at the latest.

E3 Voucher Redemption

No idea what the digital rewards will be, but they'll email you based on the email address you register with the codes. Codes are all given out now.

I think Sony raised the bar too high. It wasn't terrible but wasn't anywhere near the level they have put out in previous years. Microsoft on the other hand is consistent as fuck. Consistently shit.

I still think VR is a gimmick for casual games and will be exactly like 3D TV in that everyone will eventually have one and use it every year or two just like the 3D glasses will continue to sit in a box someplace.

1) You can't wear the goggles for long durations, they're just not comfortable for hours on end.
2) They don't have a good way to implement the idea of 'walking' or otherwise traveling in many types of games.
3) There's a reason the idea of light-guns (which have been around for decades) and similar technology aren't mainstream despite constantly getting rebranded and resold - they aren't usable for serious gamers. You get tired holding anything in any sort of realistic stance for long periods, they aren't precise enough for high impact gaming and they are very clunky to interface with other controls.
4) They simply don't work for some people with certain conditions/motion sickness and there doesn't seem to be a good way around the dissociation of the body/mind and visual feedback.
5) The interfaces and interactions are just pedestrian attempts and no better refined than the Wii.

The only thing VR brings to the table is display immersion and that's something that will likely expand outside of goggles just due to comfort reasons. There is nothing VR realistically offers gamers outside of the display and it ain't that great at it. No one wants to actually walk through Skyrim or punch every time your character does, no one wants to actually have to swing your entire body around to the side to shoot one mob every time. It's great for casual or immersion experiences (much like well crafted 3D movies), but frankly all of the core experiences are shit for long term gaming sessions. I expect you'll see ultra-massive display setups that you kind of dock your chair into be far more successful than goggles - let you take a drink and be comfy in a chair for 4 hour session.

Of course the Xbone apologists are saying they were equally as bad. Look, this was a boring E3, but at least Sony has learned how to do a conference. They showed off a bunch of great looking exclusives that make you want to own a PS4. All I got outta Microsoft is Scorpio is overpriced and all their games are coming to PC anyways. Oh and something something Porsche.

I'm a bit shocked we didnt get a Bloodborne 2 or even at the minimum a Demon's Souls HD.

I guess the big news is Anthem reveal, Shadow of the Colossus, and uh, Monster Hunter World?

If I'm not mistaken, the Xbox Scorpio is going to be faster than the PS4 Pro is. So wouldn't that sway some people to own FPS style games on the XBS instead of PS4? I still need to pick up a pro, but I don't care enough yet.

Because they already own Pros for a year before the Scorpio even comes out. Bought mind for $340 around BF while also getting $150 for my old PS4.
