Does piss me off a ton of normal enemies have the Crucible Knight moveset, but at least I can backstab them and then charge R2 them to kill them for the most part. It does seem like a pretty huge gap between grace sites though unless I'm just not exploring in the right order.

Did you find the sewers yet? It’s like a whole new area.

I only have 3 talisman slots, not 4...didn't even know there WAS a 4th slot. I'm post-final boss in NG and I've done everything. I looked it up and I should have gotten the 4th slot a while ago.

Is there some specific way to "trigger" it after defeating Golden Godfrey? I read something about talking to a finger person at the Table of Lost Grace. Well there's no one there.

If this is something you can only trigger midway through the game and then it disappears for that cycle, I'll be pissed.

Would beating Margit on NG+ and getting that talisman slot work for getting the 4th to unlock?

From what I've read there's also some glitch that prevents the 4th slot from unlocking for some people.

TBH this is the first time Elden Ring has actually pissed me off in any way

The lady next to the two fingers at the table zone is the one that should offer it. She should still be there.

Yeah, I activated all six of them ages ago. Talked to everybody in the table zone a few times over during the game. Only NPCs there now are the various merchants and the finger-reader remembrance NPC.

Hopefully when I beat Margit in NG+ it adds a fourth slot, but I have a feeling it won't until I get back to where the actual fourth slot is supposed to happen.

can helper buddies put status on bosses? a friend is s tuck on the starscourge and i thought i'd lay down the rot and end it for him but i am not sure it's working chaotic fight to tell if it's working or not heh

Should be able too but don't forget that doing co-op increases the boss HP and resistance so it might take longer too kill him vs solo...

And killed him also finnaly tonight.... I kinda ran out of things too do in the world(I think, haven't looked at any maps yet)

I got it literally as soon as I killed Godfrey, at least I don't think I even transported at all. Sucks if you got glitched, maybe you didnt get a different slot?

Sounds good to me. For caster respec I'm going with 50 Vigor, 30 Mind, 30 End, 80 Int, 16 Str, 40 Dex, any future levels are going to Dex because Moonveil gets a ton of attack power out of it. Actually have more attack power with that spec and Moonveil than I do with a dex spec and Malenia (750ish compared to 680ish) plus you've got Comet Azur and Stars of Ruin. 50 Vigor (60 after buffs) could be a little higher but it's sufficient, don't want to take anything from Dex. Another 40 levels of Dex on top of this and I should be pretty unstoppable anyway.

The gold godfrey one is given to you the moment he dies, there's no activating it or anything like that. No idea how/why it would've bugged out, but you probably can't get it until you get back to that point in NG+.

Yeah, that's about the same as my most recent respec. Vigor drops off pretty hard after 40 though, so I stopped at 35+5. Int 80, Dex 35+5, Str 13+5 (nagakiba req), Mind 26, End 24+5 is what I had at level 150.

Going to take Mind up to 40 next, that's when it hits 220 FP which is exactly what the +12 flask restores. Then I guess all in on Dex. Or more likely, finally beat the game and start playing my faith newb instead.

Speaking of flasks, I wonder why they stopped at 14 charges even though there's at least 5 extra seeds in the world (not counting the keepsake). It's weird, seeing as there's exactly 12 sacred tears.

Still some situations where Moonveil is better though; Moonveil can hit flyers, does way more damage with a crit compared to the cold affinity nagakiba, and Transient Moonlight is both faster to execute and deals vastly more stance damage. Hoarfrost does stagger a lot of things, but I've never seen it break a stance.

I can't decide between cold and magic either. Cold only does less than 20 more damage on the L2, but it severely gimps the weapon for normal attacks, backstabs, etc. It definitely procs frostbite faster though, not sure if that makes up for it vs. a boss. I ended up sticking with magic for now just because I hate it when my backstabs leave stuff with a few pixels of hp. I've got enough equip weight to handle carrying around both Moonveil and the nagakiba though, so it might be better to only use it for Hoarfrost spam.

just threw hoarfrost on a weeapon, this is the dumbest shit.
