But you had to kill almost everyone in RTH so it's even more depressing. The shrimp n crab guy was probably the hardest death for me. Maybe the Warminster. You have to kill all your buds. Or inadvertently cause all their deaths.

Rogier’s death was it for me my first time through. First, he offers up assistance to a total stranger to help kill Margit to get into Stormveil Castle. Then when you actually meet him later on in the chapel, you just knew you’d be besties for life.
Then you find out later that he’s got stage 9 cancer that seemingly advances every time you visit him in RTH And there’s nothing you can do about it to save him.
And if that wasn’t enough, on his deathbed, he leaves you with his only family heirloom. I’m not much of a daggers guy myself but it definitely made me a little emotional to know he felt that strongly about our friendship. Even stronger than his other buddy, D.
RIP Rogier. You will be missed.

Rogier had a rapier, not a dagger! And isn't there a questline to save him from death?
Other than that though, majority of FromSoft game NPC's die in FromSoft games, news at 11.

Rogier always died for me before he got a chance to do anything. I always got fucked by the caelid teleport trap and rested at that grace outside the tunnel and triggered RTH before I even fought Margit. Dude shows up right after I kill Godrick and turns to mush a rest or two later.
Blackguard always gets me with this line.
Never met someone with a taste for prawns I couldn't trust. We'd make good mates, I reckon. I'll be seeing ya.
Plus he sells one of the most useful consumable items in the game.

I'm not maidenless. I fuked the husk of that thing shabiri was in, then I scum saved and used miquellas needle to get my true waifu Ranni and banged that little doll slut three ways to Sunday.

They usually make it a new area. Was wondering if it added new content to the base game, but other than the new weapons / skills and such, everything in the expansion is closed off. Like their previous DLC, you click an item and it teleports you into the expansion which is an entirely separate area. There might be some other interconnections with NPCs from the base game to the DLC, nobody knows, but probably not since you access the DLC clicking something from a very late game boss. The people who got to play the preview did so on pre-made level 150 characters, and if that is the intended level you're not going to have much left of the base game before you enter it. I know lots of people on twitch are starting new characters though and trying different quest lines / leaving some open, to see if it has any effect.

Can't save him. Can briefly make him happy by giving him the Black Knifeprint and following that questline with Ranni but he always dies before you get to the point of the game where you find Ranni's body and the Curse Mark.

Only slight tweak would be you last see Patches outside the boss room in the Shaded Castle and he gives you castinets to pass on to Tanith (that does absolutely zip).

No, the spoiler videos didn't do anything besides remind me how interesting Miquella is, especially now that he has minions also looking for him.
The official trailers made a mistake by introducing this new guy and making it all about him, while the playerbase was already invested in finding out what happened to Miquella.

All of that said, I'm sure SOTE will tell a good story, I just hope it goes in the direction people are hoping for. In other news, in DS3 last night I found Dancer of the Boreal Valley. What an insane boss. Looks like you might be able to fight it right around when you fight Vordt, and skip a large part of the game? That's crazy. I haven't beaten it yet. Not sure if the way forward is through Dancer or through the Irithyll Dungeon. I finished Anor Londo and took down Aldrich, now that was a cool fight. Especially liked how (spoiler alert) the fight takes place in the old ruins of O&S's room.
