District 9 also had plot holes so big you could fit the giant spaceship through. Here is to hoping you can't fit the space station through them in Elysium. Should be fun either way though.

I was leaning more towards William Gibson's vision of the future with the ultra-rich living in orbital stations and the rest of us plebs fighting over the scraps down on Earth.

Pretty much all science fiction has predicted something like this since HG Wells, probably before that.

One thing that impressed me in a subtle way is the rig Damon is wearing is asymmetrical. The rough, wired, cheap tech look is what any director would have done, but the way they chose to hang it off Damon makes you feel like it is a weight and an intrusion.
