Sure as fuck seems like you are with the ability to take anything SOE does or shows and make sure and spin it as positive as possible.
Your whining about everyone hating and being negative and don't realize your 100% positive fucking spin on everything is no better at all.
You can't even admit as others have who dont mind the art style and aren't with the rest of us "haters" that they are woefully the fuck behind and haven't shown shit for something that is supposed to be released in 3 to 6 months.
Don't get me all sad and thinking about what could have been. I love those original screenshots of Faydark and Freeport.

Except that they scrapped that game, and then maybe what came after that, before coming up with the idea that they presented at SOELive.
I think between some inartful word choices, some wanting to please people, and some pure-D hucksterism, they are way out in front PR-wise than where they are implementation-wise. They should have been more upfront about where they are , i.e. still in the design stage in a large number of areas, broad concepts nailed down but many details still subject to change, etc. without alluding to this Awesome Thing That Exists Really But We Can't Talk About YetT. Perhaps if that had been the case, some of the people now standing on forum street-corners with signs warning of the MMOpocalypse would have been able to refrain.
Even they aren't going to know how their systems are going to work until they are alpha play-testing them at least internally. From the dev comments, I don't know if they are even close to that stage. So much is going to change between now and even beta; if we were there and they were still waffling on things like "contested content", etc, then it will be time for the rending of garments and ashening our faces.
I don't mind them taking their time. More time to convince them to change some shit. In fact, I hope they aren't too far along because then the chances of getting anything changed would be fucking zero. Rushing an MMO out the door to please some impatient ADD fuckwads who are just going to quit after 2 months isn't really a smart move.

Ya, I get that. BUT, If i was in charge of a major project for the past 3-5 years and had as little to show for it as Georgeson, I would have been fired. I would have been fired after the first scrapped model! In my line of work, that is called gross incompetence.
It's only because we keep telling them "oh it's okay, you're doing a great job brah" that they can keep pissing on us and tell us it's raining.

Huh? I don't think you've read any of my posts except with your 'shill filter'. I've criticized them, especially for having a pretty sad marketing schedule.
I've purposefully taken the stance of giving an alternative viewpoint (playing devil's advocate) for some aspects to counter the blatant cynicism and hate here. I haven't given them a pass on everything, but I'm just more willing to 'wait and see' rather than claiming the game is a complete failure with what little concrete information we do have.

And then what? What the fuck does it matter what their marketing goons say to keep the hype train rolling? The game is what the game is regardless of how they spin it. You'll just give yourself an aneurysm and probably end up in a rubber room if you obsess over their PR-speak bullshit.
EQNext is going to be the most divisive/character-revealing media product since Boondock Saints.
