In the readme file, he says"MQ2 does NOT contain any active hacks like warp and the likes, nor do we support thoose kind of hacks."If they are serious about limiting MQ2's functionality to a mere in-game map and other features found in later clients, then that would be a small relief. Perhaps they understand the fragile situation Al'Kabor is in. Makes me like the dude a lot more at least, not that I'll use it. (maps are for pussies) Although that other program still exists so the problem is still there of course.

Omg it works. It reset my resolution and key binds, but I just changed that back from in game and now I'm up and running again. I can't believe it works, and no viruses!

does the eqmac trainer still work?

Don't know, never used it and never will. I don't want them to close the server forever.

Wonder if the new hack fixes the bazaar issues?

Seems to be the same as always.

Did Hobart survive the layoffs?

No clue but at least one person from the VG team was let go and Hobart is on that team. Looks like everyone was hit but EQN/L and maybe I'm wrong about them.

Well whatever, the server wont last forever. I'm amazed they even convinced them to let it last this long. SOE has to shit on anything good and ruin it, it's just what they do. I would be very surprised if they don't close down EQ Mac and Vanguard once EQMinecraft arrives.

Any ideas? It won't even begin the process for me. I'm thinking it may be some old registry settings causing it?

Hmm I don't know, I've only done it once and that was last year. It was uneventful enough that I can't even remember it. I suggest checking your software firewall, turn it off maybe while you try it, same goes for anti virus. Other than that, no ideas here. Except maybe that it could be a temporary outage type thing.

SOE are the biggest board nazis I've ever seen. I've made three posts on the official EQ Mac Announcements board and 2 were deleted. All you have to do is mention 'pc client hack' in your post and you can't count on your post being there in a few hours; made all the more frustrating in that they seem to randomly leave some posts mentioning it. I spent an hour writing a post about why eqmac and classic eq were better than PC EQ and why PC users would want to play there instead after Hobart told us to go play PC EQ instead of use the client hack, and that cunt Zatozia deletes my entire post for mentioning PC client hack in one sentence when it was relevant to the discussion Hobart started. I didn't link to it or anything, just mentioned that it existed in one sentence. Instead of deleting the three words, she just entirely deleted my polite, well considered post that largely praised classic EQ.

SOE asking Nikolai to delete posts mentioning LauncherFrien because he was "asked to remove the link to an application which bypasses the patching process" is absurd. So is posting a screen of a windows shortcut properties with -patchme as an argument cause to delete a post now? Oh that terrible Microsoft enabling the hackers! Alt-tab is hacking, man.

I can't even post on eqmac.com without having every single post approved by a moderator. I write posts that never show up at all or if they do they show up days later. Say what you will about fohguild's community but at least you're free to post here.

Lol didn't realise you hated them as much as me. I couldn't agree more. They have always been tools and probably always will be. If it makes you feel any better, about once a year I take the time to write to them and tell them how I feel and I try to be as insulting as possible, because that's just what they deserve. I send it by email and on their forum but it always gets nuked of course. But I just like knowing that maybe somebody in the company will read it and see what me, a lowly customer, feels about them. I'll pm you my most recent one from earlier in the year. I hope it makes you feel better
