Holy shit I am pissed... I logged in to find a bunch of non targeting trees and rocks back on my claim, and went to twitter to see if anyone else was having the same issue. Dave says to "select your entire claim, delete it and hit undo" What actually happened is that it only deleted about 80% of it, none of the trees or rocks, and I couldn't undo it back to it's previous state. And I lost all the mats (and there was a LOT of stone. Alpha, sigh.

Holy shit it magically came back when I went to delete some of the remaining pieces. Try that and see if it helps!

I'm thinking about just deleting my entire castle/tower to just build a little shack. Way more manageable and if it blows over or gets trampled by a herd of alpha bugs I'll be perfectly alright with it. Also I can template it easily, and move to new biomes if I want. Plus, 90% of the other claims are castles or guard towers anyway.

'J' key is my best friend for now (basic construction) i found it by accident, did not see any videos that use it...
So far it's used with the Heal tool, best with Cube, it allows you to select the air between blocks to heal it. Basically selecting the space in between areas, been usefull for me at least, thought i'd share

before this, healing was just a "wish for the best" with no real control over what you heal.

I'm still trying to figure out how much I'll play EQNL in the end but I think the end result of all this is that I'm more confident in EQN proper as a whole. I think the team has done a surprisingly good job handling this launch even with all the server outages and shit, and I think the game looks pretty nice, too. I still think the human faces look a bit whack but it is what it is and I won't be going the human route come EQN launch anyways. Smedley keeps pushing how great PVP will be in EQN, too, which should be of some interest to you. Whether or not it's actually worth a shit in the end remains to be seen.

Also, Smedley straight up said they named Landmark wrong but it's too late to do anything about it now. I like that he owns up to it, but people have been screaming that shit for a long time now.

I think people are going to do some awesome things with Landmark. I know this defeats the purpose of it being an MMO, but considering the type of product it is, I kind of wish they'd let people play in an offline mode and have a full land mass to themselves to go wild with.

I agree this and SOEs behavior has actually upped my curiosity of Next. Still a lot rides on the systems, like storybricks for example, of that game(Next) and seeing it in action. But I feel more optimistic for it because of this game and their communication/work on it.

So just to be clear, is it one claim per the entire game or one claim per server? I still have two spread across two servers.

1 claim per person. So, if you've got 2, think about removing the other one, before they do it for you.

Yeah it's weird, I had three at one time. It's mostly due to issues on their part because they killed one of mine so I planted a new flag. Then when I came back both were there and I was able to plant a third flag.

I've got one a decently high mountain but it's in the desert area and way out from the portal. I think it's getting removed because I don't want it over the one I just planted even though it's low to the ground.

As of right now you're only supposed to have 1 claim. They made a post a couple days ago saying if you have more than 1 claim, they will delete all your extra claims and only leave you with 1, and the 1 they leave you with will be random.

Yeah, I've heard a few people have found it, but can't prove it. No screenshots, so it's probably just really terrible trolls. That won't stop me keeping a eye out for strange patchs to whack at while I look for rubies/sapphires/obsidian and alabaster. =)

Seems strange to me that Alabaster is in game, and that's a T5 stone.
