Changed my mind as well, got past most of the gathering and actually built a watchtower was pretty cool. Now if i could actually figure out how to save my design.

Just sucks pretty much every little spot that isn't desert is claimed. haven't been able to claim anything yet after an hour of running around

Whelp, my experience has been pretty terrible tbh. Got trolled by the /home command, (inadvertently from a forum post), had my claims poof three times now (and one was in a prime spot on a piece of land before there where even servers to pick), and deleted my toon to roll new toon with almost nothing on him (all of my Trailblazer stuff is gone). I have un-installed and re-installed the gamefourtimes now, and have found myself losing interest when I have a shit pick with 98.8% of all the landmasses claimed. I know it's alpha, but I feel like I could get the same experience trying to play Skyrim with 30 mods installed - i.e. trying to figure out how to play the awesome game that is just out of reach. But for $100 less

I don't know how hard they are working on fixing these problems, but it isn't fast enough for me.

True but they knew how many pre orders they had and how many people would be on the servers. Seems like pretty shitty planning on their part. Bugs aside and expected.

You guys have alpha tested games before right? I remember playing betas where your entire inventory would poof on log out and just crazy shit, some of those bugs went on for months before they got fixed. Part of the fun of an alpha is playing a game that is prolly in some stage of collapsing around you, you just kinda have to expect it.

Like I said I am just venting about my experiences. Do me a favor and go back to lurking. Unless it's cool to just talk about how much fun you are having?

Had a chance to sit down with this for a little bit tonight and I'm definitely enjoying the atmosphere of the world itself. The music is great and the environments are top notch. I'm running everything at max and it is glorious. Back to digging.

I'm ok with the Alpha statement, but not having enough land for all the fucking alpha backers to claim a piece of land is absolutely retarded.
