They should have shut down the servers much sooner, and now since the money was so spread around ( literally everything in my broker was purchased, and im pretty sure every single raid piece, fabled and master was purchased on the broker) I have a feeling they cant even properly audit this situation because it just blew up so fast.

I think that the market will be pretty busted for a month or so, and that's if not many people quit because of this whole ordeal.

I've already cancelled auto-renew on my subscription. I'm going to see what happens to the economy over the next week but if prices aren't corrected by Friday I will probably stop playing until the economy gets fixed and EoF releases. Hoping to get my Claymore and Peacock weapons on Sunday so I can at least have those completed in prep for EoF.

I dont do shit like this. This is a last resort against corruption. I get the mount thing but that was during work hours and not well known with many banned pixels.

I tried the f2p version and it does make a huge difference using macros. I think I have 5 abilities mapped to one hotkey, makes it so much less frantic. What class is the most wanted though? Been leveling a berserker cuz ppl said its the top tank class atm.

On Tarinax, Guardian is the best PvE and PvP tank, but is very group dependent. Berserker is still quite good and also better at soloing.

For any other server, I wouldn't know.

I am pretty sure that tarinax is done, at least for q side unless you were already in a guild/with a crew at launch. Pugging is pretty much non existent on tarinax now.

The rollback was good, at least. I'm missing two Krono but they said those will be restored on Tuesday so we'll see. I'm not sure how it is at lower levels but at cap Q side still feels fine.

Only thing that looks interesting to me is the "Lore and Legend Server". That might be fun. Are they intending to scale the entire game and all its content?

I'm a sucker for this game, so I'll probably take a peek if nothing else.

Also no sign of an ability/stat bloat removal. Sad times.
You get abbreviated numbers, though, because this game's mudflation is REALLY bad and what better way to mask it by hiding a few decimal places?


  • 2022 Roadmap:

The pvp server was a cluster. Getting destroyed by roaming bands of high levels while trying to just run quests made me nope right the fuck out of that server.

The game could certainly stand for a stat squish, ability prune, and a difficulty rebalance between expansions....going from one expansion to the next seems to almost expect you to have high level gear from the previous one.

The resolve system is what killed this game for me, the progression is either hit like a wet noodle in duos for 1% chance to find an upgrade or get dragged through dungeons with a bunch of high levels.

I liked the PvP server for a while in spite of issues but even after the rollback from the Krono duping, the economy never really recovered and that was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. But like Secrets, I am a sucker for this game, and the concept of the Lore and Legend server sounds really interesting. I think it would be worth the price of a 1 month sub to at least check it out.

EQ2 has had like 7 TLE / event servers, and they've screwed the pooch on itemization every time. Maybe this time, after completely changing level / loot progression across 7 expansions at once, they'll totally nail it! ;)

It sounds pretty cool, TBH. I mean, it's radically different than anything EQ1 has ever tried. If they screw it up, that sucks, but doesn't mean the idea itself is bad.
