Aha, I remember that name! Which guild were we in? Defiance?I played a Warlock in EQ2 named Wayoff.
I think I remember you whispering in vent on raids cause some people were asleep in your house.
After Speak of the Dragon that quest becomes really fun thoughTempting, if only to see how wonky the game is after a decade of changes and how much stuff is hilariously broken. But who in their right mind wants to revisit the Speak Like a Dragon questline? Or worse, that ungodly horseshit quest from Ro?
Plus, the 24 man raid cap presents a lot more difficulties than an EQ prog server thanks to the extreme turnover rate.
Wait, Defiance on Blackburrow?Aha, I remember that name! Which guild were we in? Defiance?
No kidding... some of my best MMO memories were on EQ2's PvP. The Hartsman era was some good times. I'm really looking forward to it personally. I'm loving Lockjaw and look forward to some of those moments, especially in PoP but with the 6 month timeframe, it gives you a lot of time to invest in both.Considering EQ2 was making some decent progress then did a 180 into shittown, it's probably a good idea.
It doesn't need to be saved fux it. I'm having fun on the eq1 tlp and I never even played eq1 at launch (not until like 2010 or something)Progression servers will not save this game.
For whatever reason anyone has ever quit EQ2, just imagine those reasons compounded and multiplied for your return. Not to mention the changes in AA are some of the very "few" good things that happened over the years. In some games a TLP server would be good, i just dont see EQ2 as being one of them.T5 pvp with all those contested has me almost wanting to roll there

Same here bro.... give me some of those glory years back and i'm going to get more than my money's worth!TLP pvp server sounds awesome. If it is even half a good as the first year or two of Nagafen I'm in!
Defiance on Permafrost. We were competing with FoH eq2 chapter during KoS - EoF on that server. It was fun time.Wait, Defiance on Blackburrow?
Ahh right. Name looked familiar and I got confused with my first guild Descendants. Pretty sure we got the WW1st on Lord Nagalick so we were kinda a big deal also =pDefiance on Permafrost. We were competing with FoH eq2 chapter during KoS - EoF on that server. It was fun time.
Yeah, vanilla raids in EQ2 were complete cancer. In fact, none of the raiding content from TSO and before really stands up to the quality standard of contemporary MMOs. It would be fun to play Swashbuckler again (or Brigand since they're more desireable IIRC, I mained Templar when I first played but I always enjoyed my Swashy more), but if I have to pay to play at all then I'm not down.I can't wait till you all try the progression servers and realize how much time you invested into the game back then and decide it's not worthKoS - EoF was good times though. Some of the future things need to be applied though, like persistent timers for EH.
