They were late starting, but at the current exp rate there could be some groups of near or at cap players tomorrow. I know if I wanted I could max a crafter easily, and probably hit 30 adventuring as well by tomorrow. I am disappointed, but hopefully some nerfs will be tossed out. I know it's beta, but still, are the devs that clueless about how people grind on new servers.

edit: this assuming cap is 50, which may be wrong.

Only played to like lvl 5 or so. Just trying it to see if I want to play it at launch. Mordryn in game. Pretty casual, but interested in a guild if one forms up on the pve server.

I haven't leveled a character up in like 4 years on here. How quick are we talking to max? 1-2 weeks for a casual?

I'm pretty sure with an even remotely group of dedicated people for 2 days we could get everyone leveled and all launch raid content cleared in those 2 days, including shit like Spirits of the Lost, D'morte, and Brutal Acts of War if they have the adventure packs included. The only one of those that even has any doubt is D'morte's simply because that was a shit fest of a time sink.

Shit, Mastercrafted gear is probably the best in game until you hit level 80.

Edit: It's even mildly tempting just so I could laugh at the devs, but it isn't worth a sub or the couple days to do it.

IMO the stupid fast leveling and easy content is a significantly lesser issue if you are in this for the pvp. That being said I would love it if they could slow the leveling down and reintroduce some of the cockblocks that were in place at release. I want to have to do those fucking terrible access quests dammit!

Undoubtedly, but I feel like the issues are a bit more significant than that. Hopefully they can adjust things so that classic content is actually work doing.

I wouldn't get too frustrated yet guys but I would get vocal. Hopefully there will be some tactful and helpful responses. I'm hoping they're open minded and they'll listen. I think they have a real chance to do something cool for EQ2. I'm hoping they get it worked out as it had some real promise at one time.

They said that xp from mobs is fine, but that quest xp will be turned down for launch.

What they're missing is that mobs die so incredibly fast, that the xp from killing mobs is amazing. Mobs need to be buffed a lot. It's a complete joke as is.

R on this event? I think I bought EQ2 sometime after it launched but I'm pretty sure I didn't buy an xpacs, would I be able to participate in these shenanigans, and if so does it require a sub?
