TSS is one of the nicest expansions there are. You can level up from 1 to level 40 in 3 zones, all adjacent to each other.

There are groups to be had at 70. The people I see lfm are doing mission arcs.

Again though... as a random nobody nonraidgeared tank, you may have a rougher time. At minimum you will need to be someone who proactively forms groups. If you were raid geared it'd be the opposite with unsolicited tells to come group while not even lfg. I really do encourage you to maybe give a puller a try if you wanna be the forward and active face of the group like a tank, but minus the critical need for as much gear.

As lend says, tss in 2 months is awesome for fresh leveling. If you end up frustrsted with paladin or whatever you settle on, thats a potential 2nd chance at a fun level up when it hits.

If you really want it I have a paladin on Selo that you can have Pharone Pharone just PM me if so. His name is Holyforge and I think I left him at 65 and Time geared.
You quit Selos, or is this just a box? That being said, I appreciate the offer, but I started my new character last night already. I'm looking forward to playing him up.

If anybody wants to donate money, gear, fungi tunic, krono (lol), or just send me some "Fuck You klathnx.1!1.!!!" in-game mails, I am Pharone, Dark Elf Shadow Knight, on the server. I made it to the ripe old age of level 11 last night :) My brother is playing an iksar shaman to group with me.

Couple questions:
1. Is defiant gear in the game? I noticed that the Tutorial is in the game on Selos, and was rewarding gear with similar stats to that of Defiant gear which is way over powered compared to the old crap I had in my shared bank.
2. Any recommended zones for a Shadow Knight / Shaman combo of level 11 to progress through at this stage in Selos' available unlocked content? I am assuming Paludal Caverns first, and then ....

Defiant gear isn't until later. The tutorial does give out a set of reskinned crude defiant though.

No defiant yet. Xp is a breeze and the bazaar at this stage will put upgrades for low levels at dirt cheap prices, so my advice is to just grind populated spots with good cash and avoid low pp drops, excessive travel, or limited kill potential.

You definitely want to finish the tutorial. Afterwards, Warrens or PC to low 20s is the best. In the 20s, sol a is definitely best but challenging for a duo unless you buy some twink gear (you'll get mob packs and theres heavy casters). Step out to lavastorm and do the easier shit there if sol a is too hard. In the 30s, grimling forest again is best if you can handle a few mobs at a time. Tower of frozen shadow alternatively is the highest zem, and in at least the library area shouldn't run out of mobs with just a duo. In 40s you want velks or acrylia, which are easy pulls. 50s those two again and/or griegs. 60s paw beats everything if its open.

You should be able to find people and group well before hitting 70 though. An active group of mediocre players in a weak spot is still better xp than duoing in a better location. Don't scoff at an invite to "bullshit" like a corner of undershore, it can work.

Yeah I was looking at the bazaar last night, and the gear really is dirt cheap. It's going to be a fun romp through EQ again I think.

The only stupid thing is that I re-subbed the wrong account twice LOL.... /sigh. I have a number of accounts I have used over the years, and I couldn't remember which one I used before on the Selos server when it first opened (to get access to my big bag and plat). The first one I tried, I paid the sub. The second one I tried, I bummed my brother's last krono lol. I was like FUCK MY LIFE when I logged in to it and saw no characters on the Selos server.

I think I know which account potentially has my wizard on it for Selos at this point considering I already went through my other two main accounts, but at this point, I'm not sure it's worth it to spend another $15 or a krono just to start again with a big bag. You have to wonder if they don't let you see your characters on TLP servers just because they know people will make this mistake time after time when coming back to the game ;)

Why didn't you just log into a "free access" server, look at the Krono situation and then sub the correct account?

The bag purchase should appear in the account history on the website. I think.

Yeah that actually worked. I went and checked history, and realized it was a completely other account than any of the ones I was trying lol.

Starting my SK over again with BIG bags lol.

Anyone doing the resist mask DoDH questline? Having trouble requesting the 65/68 version of the first Fibblebrap mission. All of the guides seem to agree that you need 200 faction, then to do the second mission of the line and then you can request the first. We've done the faction, completed missions #2 and #3 but still can only request the 60 version of #1 (which apparently won't count for the mask quest)

IIRC we had to do all the fibblebraps on the hardest difficulty in order to unlock the mask piece difficulty missions. I believe it was the only series to have this odd behavior and I remember having to do the dumb escort in Ruins of Illsalin twice because of it.

Got to 45 easily yesterday (before heading off to the movies... Adams family was ok, but nothing to write home about). Being a tank, starting a group (when I want one) has been a breeze so far.

The experience rate has been fantastic. We can login, and play a couple hours in a given night, and make significant progress. All the awesomeness of Everquest with out the game feeling like a second job is so nice.

I am going to need to either farm plat to buy upgrades, or start hitting up some loot camps soon as the gear I have is adequate for now, it wont be adequate much longer as a tank.

That being said, should I bother with LDoN runs to get gear, or is there a better expansion to focus on at this point?

Keep in mind, I'm mainly wearing the gear that I got from the tutorial right now with a few upgrades I managed to buy cheap off the bazaar. Also of note, money has not come too easily so far. I have three large weight reduction bags, so I need on everything that drops, but I still only manage to make just barely more than it takes to buy my spell upgrades. If absolutely necessary to upgrade my gear, I will consider buying a couple Krono from DBG to sell, but I would rather earn it in game to be honest rather than give DBG more of my money they can spend on stupid ass shit like rainbow bunny designs.

Level places with better money like Acrylia Caverns. You don't need to do ldon for gear; the stuff from points can take dozens of low level missions' worth of points. Better off just grinding somewhere with cash and buying attuneable stuff. If you're just in your duo, consider hopping over to corathus creep and blasting anything that has quad a bottleneck drops; those should be around level 50.
