This season has been fun. The game world MSQ is starting to progress. At some point Sunraku's stalker might actually talk to him properly. There was some character progression, and these last 2 episodes have been absolute bangers.

Thanks for linking that! Really good so far. I can't put it top 10 because I think Japanese anime is a lot different than Chinese and western animated stories. That's better than anything I've seen from Western teams already. Keep linking good stuff though, I appreciate it!

I watched Martial Universe, but it feels like it was made for younger audience.
I am currently watching “A mortals journey to immortality” and it’s a very well told story. The MC is always the underdog and uses skill to win all encounters which makes for a great story. It also has a bit of comedy and romance and a lot of sad moments.
I didn’t realize Battle Through The Heavens was like the Ufotable of CG so it set the bar so god damn high that I’m constantly comparing it to everything else.
I am current on Renegade Immortal so I decided to watch a couple of episode of “A Will Eternal”. If you’re familiar with the story then you know they are in the same universe but this is way more comedic.

Currently it would be
1) Battle Through The Heavens (incredible fights and if you like revenge it’s even better)
2) A Mortals Journey to Immortality (incredible story, prepare to be balls deep in your feels)
3) Peerless Martial Spirit.
however I’ve only seen five out of my list of 20 shows to go through so it will be a bit before I can recommend anything before my 1 and 2. BTTH really picks up at the 3 year agreement mark and the fights go full throttle.
Small bit of random appreciation, since it’s CG you can see the characters actually age subtly over time.

i just reached episode 61. Just like BTTH episodes 50-60 seem to be where shit gets pretty wild. The story on this is pretty amazing and this story is heavily focused on character growth and development so it’s always good eatin. The combat is no where near the level of BTTH but for this style it’s pretty good still. I’m glad the romance was kept in tack which is something that watered down in BTTH.
Can’t wait to see them toss Silvermoon into the mix.

No, tbh I’m unsure but the quality of the CG does go up quite a bit over time. Considering where I am now on episode 65 and how many chapters/arcs I feel this could hit 250 episodes fairly easily. There is a lot of development on characters out side of the MC so it going over 300 wouldn’t surprise me either.
Keep in mind this is my first foray into Donghua’s. Kinda glad since it gives me a huge backlog to go through. Haven’t watched an episode of anime since I found all of this readily available on YouTube.

BTTH was a fun manhua. So was Peerless Martial Spirit. Not sure how I feel about this CGI, but I can give it a few episodes.

The early CG is okay but as it progresses it gets pretty exceptional. The CG in A Mortals Journey has gotten to the point im not sure if they are actors or pure CG.
Pretty dope seeing flags, formations, and refining animated. Nice to put a clear image to what id been reading.
The combat has really grown on me, its like CG Crouching Tiger style so instead of being fast paced like BTTH its more stylized and enjoyable.

Void Hall Arc in Mortal Journey starts on episode 95, so im pretty sure this will exceed 300 episodes.
Chinese comedy is rather hilarious. Han Li is a fuckin bandit. It’s hard to go back to anime after some of these series.
The episode 114 battle royale is next level.
