Fallout has never really been a "survival" game despite it's setting. It's just an RPG with an apocalyptic backdrop. If you want a pure survival experience you're better off looking elsewhere. Or just play DUST.

As to dialog options, the new games don't really compare to Fallout 1 or 2.

Gimp your int, and suddenly you can't speak and say things like "wubba wubba", where most npcs also react to that, giving different dialog in return. Not to mention the overall humor/lore was much .

You absolutely can make a guy with int 2 and get hilarious unique responses from tons of NPCs in Fo3 and NV.

STALKER franchise did survival really well.

My bad thought it was in FO3 as well. There are some in FO3 but not nearly as much as in NV or the others. Roosevelt Academy you get deemed a special child etc.

These anthology editions are available on gamestop and bethesda's website currently, not sold out yet, as far as I can tell.

Are they remastered in any shape or form or are you still better off buying them from GoG ? (F1/2 at least) Then there is the F2 restoration project mod to make it that much better and I see a cash grab in the shape of a mini nuke :-/

That's absolutely what it is and yet I can't resist it.

I already own ALL these games on my steam account AND my gog account in regards to F1, 2 and Tactics!

I agree but the first couple hours of the fallout games are survival games, and if you mod it the first half of them are. That is enough to give me the desire for it to be a survival game which is more compellong than some city builder.
