Yeah it literally just happened lol

Its silly, every store in Germany is selling the game now....street date is broken.

They need to just go ahead and release it.
I agree. Germany is just trying to be a bro and force Bethesda to release it a couple days early.

Well it is Germany, Bethesda might be taking the last few days to add the gore - so gore free Germany gets theirs early...

PC version is streaming currently

THE SHEKELCAUST - YouTube
It's almost impossible for that to have actually been the PC version anyway. The only PC versions that exist are press copies and it's pretty hard to believe anyone in the press would take that kind of risk. Everything else is locked down by Steamworks encryption + missing executable.

It had keyboard prompts during the gameplay, instead of controller prompts.

This guy on reddit is claiming that CHA is a useful stat this time around.
I read this too and to me it translates to,
"Dogmeat is pretty good in ezmode and I'm cash-starved at the start of the game like in every other RPG".

Only thing that would make me take it is if someone said that every other quest they get requires high speech checks to progress or something.

Well, he did say he was playing on Survival, but still... if the dog is strong, he will be strong with or without the Attack Dog perks. There's like a dozen companions total, and if you're a completionist you'll want to do as many of their quests as possible which means you're swapping out companions frequently and wasting 3 perks on just the dog seems really dumb. He did convince me to not take Lone Wanderer ever though, so if anything I saved a point in CH that I can divert to ST instead.

Still torn on the Local Leader thing. I don't believe for a minute that caps will be scarce in the long run, but apparently Pete Hines said that the vendors you build with that perk sell rare and sometimes even legendary items that normal vendors will never have. Originally I thought that legendary items were only from legendary enemies, so that changes things a bit. Kind of skeptical about it being worth 6 levels worth of CH and perks though.

Tons ofleaksfrom the Prima guide. Companions, bobbleheads, and legendary/unique gear details aplenty.
nice.

FYI: Any posts about this content must be in spoilers. I'm going to get all uppity about this now that these are leaked.

What are these special magazines I've heard about? I'd be surprised if the Prima guide doesn't list them, but they're not in this list. If someone seems them post it.

The fact that there are level 91 deathclaws in that list makes me think that tuning a build for level 50 is being a little conservative.

When I was watching the recorded stream that was posted early today (said account has now been closed by Twitch fyi) the guy playing started at the very beginning of the game. In the baby's room (Shaun) at the beginning is a SPECIAL book like you used in Fallout 3 to pick your SPECIAL stats with at the beginning of the game in the nursey. When he returned to his house after the intro and escaping the starting vault, he found that book under the nightstand in the baby's bedroom, when he picked it up, it allowed him to add 1 point to any SPECIAL stat he wanted. I'm assuming there will be more than 1 of those books in the game. I don't know that for a fact, but I doubt if there aren't a few more spread around.

The start of the magazine section can be seen in one of the images, but he didn't scan the page that actually shows what they do.

Yeah, especially if you take a high INT score, I imagine you're going to have a pretty significant level boost after 30 or 40 hours played

Send em an email, they probably just messed something up.

Have you checked your GMG library for the keys as well (I'm guessing you did just asking for completion's sake)
I didn't even think of that. It was indeed sitting in my library on their site. That's some noob shit on my part. Thanks!

NP, and by the way, Tuco, the ending has already been leaked and spoiled on the internet and you basically can't go anywhere without seeing it so just fyi.

If anyone wants to rip the band-aid off quick and easy in this regards, click this spoiler:

The bad guy is your child/son, which is kidnapped in front of your eyes from your spouse who is shot and killed while you're in cryostasis in the Vault, and you can either kill him or nuke Boston

Don't say I didn't warn you if you click that spoiler.

IN isn't +10% per level though, that turned out to be bullshit. Someone with 5 IN was getting 345 xp for a 300 xp quest, so it's actually only 3% per level. The different between 5 and 10 IN will be fairly trivial in the long term. So once again, never take more IN than you need for the highest perk you intend to take.

This reads like Bethesda is going to skip Steam Workshop and focus on paid mods directly through their website.

Maybe I'm just being paranoid but I don't think I am...

lol, figure out mods when we've figured out how to manage not pissing off our mod community when we insert ourselves between them and the end user. spoiler: they can't manage that.

It's really starting to sound like there's a good chance of the entire modding scene getting fucked in the ass by the decision to bring mods to consoles this time around. We'll know once the files are decrypted and the guy who maintains nifskope gets a good look at the new BA2 archive format.
