yeah the PS4 started preloading fallout sometime sunday morning, mine already downloaded and is ready to unlock in 9 hours. there is a 500 meg patch file too. You can try turning the PS4 completely off and restarting it maybe if it doesn't detect the download, and of course make sure all the auto download stuff is turned on in system settings (some people turned it all off to avoid patches for MGS5/etc).

The download was around 9 gigs I think on PS4. There was also a system software update today morning at 4am to 3.11, so if you haven't turned on your PS4 in a few days you may wanna let it do its update thing and stuff today evening
That's just the beginning file, full is more like 32 gigs.

Truth.

Not that Dogmeat is bad by any stretch, but on Survival he gets put down pretty quickly, and the damage it takes to kill shit is pretty high, even at the start.

I'm loving it.

just killed my first supermutants. The AI isn't amazing but isn't terrible either. It's better than FO3 by a lot.

How's the shooting? I wanted to avoid a VATS build, but I'm gonna be playing on console so I'm concerned about accuracy/ammo conservation. They said they modelled it off Destiny, and the shooting in that game is easy as fuck. How does it compare to that?

Mind you... you guys playing already are on PC, aren't you.

Also, should I take both Lockpicking AND Hacking? Is there a point?

Yeah we're on PC. The shooting is the best its ever been, but if you crank up the difficulty, gonna need some VATS action situation going on for sure.

I generally take both. Locking picking is the better of those two though. I still like hacking, especially in my first run through because there is some good shit behind some of those computers. Maybe a secret door, usually lots of lore, sometimes you can bypass a safe or turn on defenses etc..

I don't think I've ever not taken lock picking.

Agreed, for Lore reasons alone you should take Hacking and Lockpicking.

I don't think I've never not taken both.

I calculated INT to give 3% more XP per point.

I got 155XP from a quest with 1 INT and 195XP from a quest with 10INT.

I'm rolling with 10 and idiot savant. I've gotten one hit so far from planting in my garden, totally worth it!
