All these 6* awakenings are great, but are killing me for leveling! I guess 1st world problems to actually have units that can be leveled to 6*.

Guys, guys, I still havent gotten Maxwell, spent the weekend leveling up Ingus so I could have a full break. Plz to be putting back your CoDs with diabolos.

Damn, had Maxwell at around 60% and had already summoned Diabolos on Murkeds CoD, then he one shot Refia on the turn I needed to rebuff so wipe city. Wasted a Phoenix down and 2 Elixirs trying to salvage it but was wiped on the next turn.

Yeah but the Maxwell and Karl TMs are good on anyone I want to put them on, he's just one of the few who could legitimately benefit from both the atk and mag.

One of the main uses of Bartz though is for his support skills. I wouldn't grind out ingus TM for bartz, since on fights that matter, bartz will generally be using his mana to fill up other peoples limit gauge or mana bars, not doing personal dps.

Ingus TM is decent on other units, like it's the best tm for exdeath after you potion up his base magic, but still, it's way too niche to spend 400% trust obtaining a full set imo.

One interesting strategy with Bartz is to use him in conjunction with a dual cast Refia. Bartz becomes a human elixir. He has an ability that kills himself but restores all hp and mp to an ally. So you sacrifice Bartz and then full raise him + Curaja with Refia to top everyone else off.

Yeah that's the combo. It's a requirement for trials down the road that have missions that ban item usage.

Lightning gets a ton of hype, but the truth is, it's only because she has innate dual wield that she's ranked so well. If you compare her to most other 5* base physical dps with a dualwield materia, she has below average attack, and low modifiers on her skills with no defense piercing.

At least until her enhancements, which help her a lot.

Gotta credit Vitae with suggesting I level Ignus up over doing what I wanted to do and level Elza. Think now I'm just going to awaken her and grind story/explore xp to max. Have gotten almost everything off the Karma vendor, maybe a day worth of goofing off in there for the 6k tickets.

Meh, it's nice having a 5k+ health unit that can aoe the shit out of everything, heal, do aoe physical dmg as well. It's just that 90% of my friends list are Lightnings and when you have one already 2 is redundant.

They're great for griding xp spots. (and in pvp)

I have a mediocre team and am hovering around 15k in pvp and would say it's mostly because Lightning.
