Gavinmad is me, which is what he's god damniting about. And no, I just havent lost a match in ~3 weeks and I don't let my orbs go to waste overnight. Also helps to begin the new arena week with 5 orbs ready to go and use them as soon as the week starts. The farther out in front of the pack you get, the sooner you get offered 1.5s, and then you pull even farther away.
Currently ranked 198 for the month so I'm pretty sure I'm a lock for the second moogle even if I didn't arena at all for the next week.

As long as you get started right you could probably spend a few hundred lapis to make up for missing overnights. You really only have to play once every 5 hours. (once as in one short period to play 5 games. I usually do 2-3 and come back after a couple hours and do some more and so on.)
I lost twice this week though :/ Sometimes you run into the wrong whale or get Noctis'd and can't recover. Now that Noctis is 100 though arena feels broken. Fire flasks are just amazing.
Not hard to put together a team that rarely loses though. With ExDeaths & CoDs dropping like candy the past few weeks anyone should be able to arena efficiently.

Soon as you can spam all your orbs. Even if it's just against 1.05 opponents to start with. It's getting the boost AHEAD of everyone else that gets you up there.
Yeah, getting 4 of 5 of your arena time stopped by noctis is nuts. Fortunately he has so many abilities it rarely happens. I've managed to get top 3000 for arena this week. Haven't bought any arena orbs but have been having frequent rank ups that make up for me sleeping through some orbs.

It's 5 solid days of NRG to get all the rewards from the event spamming ELT. But next week is guaranteed to give more points, and very likely also more points/nrg, so you're better off just coasting through this week doing TMs or whatever. I expect this will be even more true for anyone who can't clear ELT easily too. If you're lucky next week's PRO will be about the same efficiency as this week's ELT.
Think I'm going to buy the $48 bundle and macro TMs all week with lapis refresh on. If Nox can manage to not crash the game for that long anyway, and that's a pretty goddamn huge "if".
Arena rules this week: no buffs and no dual cast. FFBE units boosted. Guess it's time to go back to the golem staff meta...

I was hoping for a fun boss fight. Instead we get a stupid snowman that dies in two rounds that we have to farm endlessly for a week. Not impressed.
I'm going to do the same as Vorph. Run the event 3x a day for the daily quest, but do the heavy farming next week.
Random tips for the snowman: It's a demon and has a fire weakness, so put your best units on Diabolos (demon killer) and use Fire element weapons like Chirijaeden or Vernard. If you're setting up your friend unit for the event, consider giving them Ice Armor, which helps for anyone that can't two round the boss (snowman uses a lot of ice/wind nukes).
Chaining is great here, and Chizuru's 6* form has an easily chainable AoE attack (Phantom Shadow), so probably the best friend unit to take along is a whaled out 6* Chizuru using chirijaeden linked to Diabolos.

Just use mages imo. I took about 90% of its hp off with Vaan casting Focus, Lightning providing chain support with fire weapons and Area Blast, Tellah with Dual Cast equipped for Imperil+Firaga, and 3 Exdeath all casting 2x Firaga. For the 3 kills a day that I'll do for the daily quest I'm going to drop Vaan and Lightning for my Edgars and save myself the bother of a second turn.
My best Exdeath will be my friend unit for the next couple weeks for anyone who needs it.

Looking for advice. I'm not here to brag. I've pulled 3 Lightning (so far my only base 5 unit pulls) and I don't know if I should make all 3 my core team. I don't have the equipment to deck all 3 out.
My current team is:
Lenna 5* (I still need mats to awaken Refia to 6*)
Chizuru 5* (same as Refia for awakening)
CoD 6*
Lightning 6* x2
Any advice is appreciated.

If all 3 of my Chizurus were L100 and I had DWs for them that would probably work. Haven't even started on Chizuru #2 though, and Zidane #2 will be done this weekend at the earliest if I feed him all my moogles (which I'm going to).
The arena pendulum of faggotry just gets on my nerves. First it was Cecil dragging out every fight, then every fight ended on turn 1 whether or not they went first because Exdeath, and now Noctis' ridiculous power creep has made it so that you can still lose fights easily even if he's the only one left alive with a pixel of hp. Which just happened to me; he threw a fire flask and petrified my entire team. Short of spending ~9k lapis farming 5 Ribbons over the next four days, there's not much you can do about it.
Something else occurred to me today after looking at the individual rewards again: I really hope Gumi has thought through the gigantuar packages. Unlike Mog King purchases which can go way past the unit cap, you can't pull any units out of the mail if they will put you over the cap by even 1. I have a feeling they're going to force me to buy more slots in order to actually use the 30 gigantuar pack.
