It sounds like SQuenix keeps Gumi on a very tight leash since FF is their IP and they are very stingy when it comes to compensation. That's why Gumi can afford to be more generous with BF compensation but their hands are tied on BE since Square has a lot of weight on decisions that affect the game and the players.

No. Alim had a completely disastrous patch a while back and they handed out 5k lapis as compensation.

Reddit has a terrible signal to noise ratio but it's still the best source for news and information. You just need to tune out the whining and shit posts.
