Just got Dark Sword! Punishment in disguise, now I need to level up DK Cecil. He will be replacing Sephrioth and his shitty default gear from Shinra Event, Tyro is STILL on my team ffs since I need someone to do Dark Attack/Poison and I have a 4* Axe nobody else can use.

I'm up to 30 Mythril, just going to punish myself and do the 11 pull once I get 50. With weapon dungeon today I've got Whip, Long Bow, Bastard Sword, Mythril Hammer, Light Rod, and something else maxed. Kind of out of weapons to level / combine right now, especially since I think Bastard was the only thing I have pulled from Relics.

Tyro is one of the most versatile characters in the game, since he can use every item and ability.

Having a 5* weapon makes an absolutely huge difference though. I have Masamune for Sephiroth and it really just rapes everything (and holy shit at the Limit Break).

Today's the first day I'm doing the hard weapon dungeon, and fuck it sucks. Those stupid behemoth fuckers casting meteor is an auto-force restart of the app.

On JP I've been slowly working my way through the quests. After the current content, you get 2 I levels, then 3 II levels. After that it was like 10 stages of VI all the way up until the floating continent. Literally all you get is VI over and over again. Now it's back to IV where I'm at the Tower of Zot. I will say the fights are more interesting; for instance the Esper Cave switches between Espers so you get different element resistances. Friends make it very trivial though (and you can use randoms). Can usually get a friend that does 9999+ damage, and you can use it twice.

Hard Weapon dungeon seems a little harder than the others, mainly Behemoth.

I'm thinking that they are focusing on FF4 & FF6 because they are the most popular 2D games and the spites are already done. They would have had way more FF7 if they didn't have to do spites from scratch.

Localization / Translation is probably what's taking awhile. Which is ironic, because who's actually reading the text in this game?

Oh I meant the JP version, the Global version I assume is just going to follow the same patch timings so we have time to "enjoy" the content.

Gotcha. Agreed then. 4 and 6 are definitely the most popular of the sprite-based FFs. Speaking of, I'm not a huge fan of Cloud/Tifa/Sephiroth's sprites.

I've done the hard dungeon twice already this morning, and yet to have meteor cast on me...knock on wood.

I was actually coming to post about how it seems way easier than the other hard dungeons. RNG strikes again.

Just started playing a couple days ago and it's a lot of fun. My characters are all around level 16 and I was able to get halfway through the current event. I'm on the dungeon to obtain Dark Knight Cecil but I don't quite have the power to kill the boss. His Thunder Counter sucks and there are so many enemies that I take a lot of random damage before I can wipe the group with limit breaks. By that point I'm just fighting to hang on. Last time I tried was a couple of levels ago so I think I'll give it another go.

Syngery. At your levels with FF IV weapons, you should be able to clear at least through Dark Knight Cecil and probably up until the boss. Using Kain/Rydia will make it easier as well

To restart a level due to damage or abilities missing - Simply force close the app. No need to turn off wifi. When you open it again click okay and it will restart the fight from the beginning of the stage(3/3 for example).

To farm item drops from bosses - When you enter the level turn off wifi. Finish all stages and kill the boss. If the boss drops a chest turn wifi back on and let level complete. If boss does not drop the item then force close the app, turn wifi back on, and hit cancel. It will take you back to the level menu. Repeat until your item drops. Re-entering the stage will generate a new drop table. It costs stamina again but less than doing the entire scenario over and over obviously.

Can someone update the OP with this?

I've pretty much lucky-steamrolled most of the content I've done so far, and started fucking around doing elites... cleared out FF7, did a few of FF4, and then moved to FF10... first two were no problem. Did the sinspawn one last and had my closest fight yet with Tyro and Kain dead, DK Cecil at 1/4 life, Rydia at 2/3, Cloud at 1/2, and just barely won despite my skills being used up. Where's the jump in difficulties? up to 23 seemed "easy", 26 just wrecked me (comparatively).

Beyond farming normal, can I farm regular antlion for the protect vests?

You kind of got in late with them decreasing the difficulty of elites yesterday. Most of them had their hp cut in half. They now mirror the JP elites more closely. Why they made ours much harder, though, is anyone's guess.

That said, as you move through them, status effects become a lot more necessary. Things like blind, slow, and sleep are almost required to even have a hope of killing some of this shit.

My lv15 Dark Cecil with 5* gear is more powerful than lv37 Cloud with 4* gear, his HP isn't far behind either... Holy shit.

Yeah, I see that now. At least I'm able to farm orbs a lot easier with this. I'm going to have to move to start doing a pile of grinding. I think I might get dragon summon on Rydia or Tyro just to clear adds on Boss fights.

the beginning elites are 12-13 stam per fight. You should be near 40 or just over it once you get to the elites. Try and make sure you finish the normals.

I think I did Mom Bomb and Sinspawn (the last one on X) last night and I used Dragon summon for both. It rocked the adds. I'd say it's definitely worthwhile to have.

I'm doing elite Siren right now and it's 14 stamina for the trash floors, and 15 for the boss. 57 total stamina just to clear the whole thing. And then there was the one yesterday (can't remember which) that I said was 71 total.

Edit: God damnit. Beat Siren, but she whooped my ass and I missed out on mastery. Should have just forced closed it. On the plus side, I got a black cowl. But I would've gotten it either way.

Wow did they nerf Baron's Castle elite (baragain and cass or whatever), it was the only elite I've tried I didn't master the first try. Went back today since I didn't want to farm scarlite today and fuck I melted it so bad, all 3 parts have half the hp and he hardly hits for anything now. He was tied for the hardest fight in the game and now is a god damn joke. Small part of me is sad they nerfed everything this early.

I'm down to just Vargas elite which I haven't tried so not sure how tough it is. I'll probably try tomorrow afternoon. Want to get my core team to 50 so I can get dark cecil and Tifa up to do some testing.
