Got 25k tokens banked so far; not sure what I am going to spend it on. I'm still hurting on some of my abilities.....thinking i'll just wait until the last day and see what I don't get in the daily's orb instances. Forsure will probably get 10 lesser summoner orbs and try to get 10 greater actually for the reflect all summon.

I went ahead and made Power Break and Magic Break because they're already needed for the current elites. I also made Drain Strike because I've heard it's incredibly useful.
If I can, I'll do Bladeblitz (need 8 Greater Wind, so 24,000 points). Hit all target physical attack? Yes please!

So hard mode is basically non-stop one hit kills on Rydia? Reset, reload and another one hit kill on Rydia. It's like my other characters don't even exist.

I thought he was referring to farming orbs and shit from elites?
The Rufus stage gives you about 500 magicite for 11 stamina, whereas the regular stages are about 400 for 10 stamina. Just outright it's a better ratio. Add on the 900 for completion and you'd be retarded not to run it.

I don't think it is lost forever, we just have a ton of catch up content and events to go through from what is already in JP version. Most of these games cycle events, but admittedly I've read very little about the JP version so maybe they never bring stuff back?

They have only ever repeated two events, one of which was the Cecil one. Some of the newer events repeat characters though, so Japan could get Aerith again that way last week.
They added a quest system or something were you can earn characters you've missed like Tidus though (he was preorder bonus).

Took a break from doing the event to finish off the last few Mythril I needed for an 11 pull, ended up with:

Two 5* and a 4* seems incredibly lucky based on some of the Reddit posts I've seen. Unfortunately none of the 3* really help me level any of my existing 3* old relic pulls. Have to figure out what I want to really focus on out of all this and back to the event grind.

I only have 4 elites left to do. Mt koltz north mountain ship graveyard and imperial camp. Will be attempting Vargas in 15 minutes, if it's anything like all the other "hard" elites i should master it.
Tomorrow is xp day so won't try any others til Monday but if all goes according to plan, I'll be finished with all content til a new event or new dungeons open.
I should hit 50 on everyone but aerith tomorrow.
Have enjoyed the game throughout and can't wait to tackle things as they are implemented. Maybe one day I'll actually get a 5*.

I'm thinking of dumping Tyro though. He seems useful in that he can equip all abilities and gear but I'm not sold on him. Right now my party is Tyro, Dark Cecil, Cloud, Aerith and Rydia. Thinking of swapping in Kain instead just as a better melee. With the exp bonus today, I could get him caught up pretty quick.

I have exactly the same party! It's a really balanced group. Each character has a unique role. Tyro does status attacks (eg Dark Attack), Cecil does melee debuffs (eg Armor Break), Cloud does melee elemental attacks (eg Lightning Strike), Aerith does healing (eg Curaga) and Rydia does ranged black magic (eg Thundara). It can take on ANY boss so far.
If you swap Tyro for Kain then you have two characters who can only do melee debuffs and no character to do status attacks, sure Rydia can cover it but hers don't do any damage so you lose a character's worth of damage. Also Kain has a shitty attack stat, he is nearly as bad as Warrior. I would suggest Tidus/Wakka instead as they have the better stats you want (better than Kain) AND can do status attacks. It all depends on what weapons you have really, I have a 4* Axe and a status attack slot open so that means Tyro for me. If Wakka can equip bows I'll switch to him since you get a 4* star bow from an elite dungeon I'm not far off mastering.

I've just been running two groups: IV and VII. Common to both are Rydia and heals (currently Aerith who has great Mind stats, just no group heal like White Mage). Kain, and Cecil x2 for IV (high 20s). Tifa, Sephiroth, and Cloud for VII. My VII group has higher levels (low 30s), so I'll bring them into non-IV dungeons. For the X elites, I used Tidus and Wakka (low 20), but enough to let me clear it.
Not in any rush to clear these though and have been slowly working on IV elites in between farming greens.

DK Cecil can't use status attacks, only armor breaks ect which Sephiroth will probably be using. Those two characters share the same slot in your team really.

Ah. Well, I'll probably go with Wakka then just because of the ranged part.
Tidus' limit seems more useful, but it seems more like another character to get smacked around. And with carrying Rydia and Aerith, that's the potential for a lot more damage. Whereas with just 2 front row characters, I can worry less.
