I finally finished FF7-R, it took me a tad under 60 hours (!) just doing a normal playthrough with all side content, kinda feels bad since I read average playthroughs are in the 40 hour range but I'm just a slow tard who likes staring at shit all the time.
Visuals were fantastic, obviously some texture stuff you sorta notice but faces and most locations were gorgeous. I'm mixed on the combat, it was interesting and cool and complex enough to feel neat but at certain times I felt super frustrated and just at the mercy of RNG, I'm gonna try hard mode eventually but not sure I will enjoy it.
Super glad I played the game, the story seems a lot simpler than what I vaguely remember but I honestly don't remember much. I didn't understand really anything happening in the final chapter. I might replay the game on the switch (the original ported) just to see the story. Definitely glad I picked this up and played though.
Absolutely loved every character including autistic Cloud, in this day and age where every character must be strong, independent, fierce, powerful, ,not need a man/woman, be sexually amibigious, etc it was nice playing a story where people felt and acted normal.
