Been busy the past 2 weeks. I just tried logging in a few times tonight... unsuccessfully. Entirely cockblocked by 2002. This is still a thing?

I havent seen it since the maintenance like a week ago. Even in primetime. I just leave the queue going and it eventually goes through. No more babysitting.

I am reminded of that old game, Anarchy Online, where one race was entirely clones and thus, while technically "neutral", was exclusively over-steroided males.

I wonder if they changed that. It would seem a perfect target to massive outrage. Probably too small these days to even attract attention.

Just finished the healer role quest and even though I suspect it will be my favorite one, it's a pale shadow of how good the ShB role quests were.

Yeah they're all more or less trash in comparison. Still haven't leveled a ranged phys for that one, but melee was literally worse than the beast tribe quest it was about, caster was somewhat world building but not very interesting cause they just didn't have enough room to make it good, healer was alright and tank was only just barely better than the melee DPS one. So yeah healer was the best so far, and honestly it wasn't even good, it was just ok. These definitely felt like a waste of time and if they're not gonna put effort into them then they shouldn't bother, the ShB ones were almost all interesting and they all merged into a really interesting follow up, but I don't see how any of the EW ones will end up making something good once they add the follow up.

It's a shame that Zenos yae Trashus stole so much of the screen time that Fordola deserved back during SB, because she was a lot more interesting than his boring cartoonish evilness.

Anyone tried leveling 80-90 in Zadnor or Bozja? One of my buddies says people are leveling that way. My AST is 83, was planning to just spam dungeons, but if Zadnor is faster then that’s what I’ll do.

I know someone doing summoner in bojza all the way to 90(currently 88). She said she did a dungeon after the recent buff and it was about the same exp for roughly the same time as bozja. With bozja they are just hopping instances constantly to get to everything and every CE. Basically no break or relaxing. While the dungeon run was a lot more laid back. This is with all the mount speed stuff to keep up.

Dungeon xp increased 66% and Mark bills increased 33% is the numbers I'd seeing. They did that specifically because Bozja was too fast for leveling and had to make them compete rather than blanket nerf it.

Zone 3 of Zadnor was the quickest way to level to 90 before the patch. Could do 80-90 in 8-9 hours. Dungeon spamming is the new best way with the xp buff.

Just got a healer to 90 so will try it thanks.

The Tank one was a boring ARR era Gridanian plot that I totally skipped. I hated it.

I guess they are all supposed to be throwbacks to previous expansions to see how the old cities are dealing with the Endwalker plot?

The Shadowbringers role quests were MSQ required so I think that explains the difference in quality, they just put that time into the Endwalkers MSQ instead and since it's so long I don't mind the boring role quest too much.

I guess they also can't put too much story important stuff into essentially optional quests.

Melee DPS I didn’t really care for story wise as well, mainly because I was neutral on the company of heroes

I've done the Role quests for Tank, Phys Ranged, and Healer; would rank them Phys Ranged > Healer > Tank.

They really feel like the place they just put all the characters that are important to us in general, but could not shoehorn into the EW MSQ.

Oddly enough, if you have leveled White Mage to 50, the tank quest is SLIGHTLY better, cause you get a little more dialogue about A-Towa-Cant and you having his soul crystal, plus you've spent a fair amount of time with all these characters in that Job story quest., otherwise, they probably mean nothing to you (at least I assume these dialogue options arent available without doing the quests).

Further aside, I feel like the most bonus dialogue you get is from having done White Mage, I feel like I get very few things that reference other jobs I've leveled when doing quests, but whenever you interact with a Padjal, if you've leveled white mage, they always mention the shit you've done with them.

Yeah there's two bits of bonus dialogue I noticed from having White Mage at 80 even though I did MSQ as Paladin.

When the alliance gathers at Ala Mihgo, the White Mage class trainer guy talks about you being a White Mage.

When the trust for Tower of Zot is being organised, they mention having a healer group to help the captives and you can say "WTF I'm a healer!" and they say that as the best healer you are with the conbat group.

Yeah things like that are what I'm talking about

I assume it is to reinforce to players who have engaged with that part of the story that 1) seeing a Padjal outside the Twelveswood is super rare, so they bring it up to you every time it happens, and 2) that, as far as the World from our point of view in concerned, we are one of only 4 White Mages in existence; the Senna Siblings, and ourselves.

I was White Mage main for ARR, Heavensward and Stormblood and I forgot all that stuff xD

I guess that explains why seemingly only White Mage got bonus dialogue as I have everything at 50 or higher and noticed nothing else.
