I-D-10-T Error.
Well, he is using the PS3 version not the PC. That's why he isn't having any issues.

Quick - thinking about passing on the gym today to hit up microcenter for a new gfx card. $200 or less, any thoughts? I'm using a 2 year old 6850, and it runs the game great - but thought after two years maybe the newer sub $200 cards would offer me a bit more performance wise. Any thoughts on the 7850/7870 vs 650ti/660?

I'd rather not get my arm bit off by a shark at the beach. I would rather enjoy the sights and sounds of Eorzea, going on grand adventures and doing heroic quests, uncovering the story and immersing myself in the world.

I bought this off Amazon a couple of weeks ago (ZOTAC nVidia GeForce GTX560 Ti 1 GB DDR5 2DVI/HDMI/Displayport PCI-Express Video Card ZT-50306-10M
Sold by Digitalet $139.99) and it's been serving me very well for the sub-$200 range. I've been able to play skyrim maxed out with STEP using it.

I went off of this

Note during FFXIV ARR beta I ran it at max settings with no issues with the new card.

Sorry for the dumb question, but where do you place the SweetFX folder / dlls in the Benchmark tool program folder? In the main folder, or in the Game folder? Hasn't been working at for me so far.

You poopsockers remind me of the old bull and young bull story. I think Ill continue being the old bull.
MMO opening rushes are just fun for me for some reason. I treat it like an event when I can. Lots of alcohol, friends, and terrible food, and then poopsock for a day or two, before slowing down to my usual pace.

if you don't have an SSD yet get one of those first, its a much more massive performance improvement

I'm also debating how asian to go in my food the next week. It feels like eating lots of noodles, teriyaki, etc may put me in the right state of mind to appreciate japanese culture. On the other hand nobody in Final Fantasy looks asian, ever. I stocked up on wasabi almonds, korean beef short ribs (trader joes frozen ones are fucking amazing), and a few boxes of some noodles I bought in chinatown. Not sure if there is a weeaboo defining food I am missing though, like the japanese version of hot pockets or mountain dew

/\/\ Terrible advice. This card is awful compared to even a 660ti, and an SSD is only going to decrease load times. Prices on those are still coming down, and honestly, while I am glad I can load Windows 7 in 7 seconds, it isn't worth $200 when a key component in his rig is dog shit.

Damnit too excited to sleep. Gotta hit the convenience stores tomorrow to stack up on coke zero, booze, pocky, other snacks, and various ready to go Japanese convenient store packages so I don't have to leave my room for the first three days. Took Monday off work as well. Plan to game until I pass out, wake up, game until I pass out some more.

For video cards, they say the best bang for your buck is to go 2 generations between new cards. One generation is not enough performance gain for the price.

7870 > 660 ~= 7850 > 650 Ti Boost. If you don't care about brand, choose based on the free game(s) it comes with. Looks like MicroCenter's prices are higher than Newegg/Amazon, so you will have to go a little over $200 if you want a 7870.

I use a 7870 and am extremely happy with it.

Buying a 1GB card is something I would highly advise against today, especially when the 650 Ti Boost is only $150 online.

Would agree with this too. I went directly from 5770 to 7870.

Did anyone (ZP?) get to 20 alchemy? I have HQ hard leather books and HQ yew (but probably no HQ hard leather) and am looking for someone to try for a HQ engraved hard leather book combine for me.
