what point are you trying to make? we DID get early access so the bonus was given. if you arent happy with the service or product then return it. a little common sense will save you alot of tears man. just cancel your sub and move on please. clearly this game is weighing heavily on your mind. its not healthy to be this consumed by a dumb game.

Between all this back and forth going on for the last 5 pages, I just want to know...
Are the hard caps still in place for login? World full errors? Are people getting in the game this morning/afternoon better than yesterday?
ETA: In my opinion the game is live. Whether it's early access or post go live, it doesn't matter. SE sold pre-orders with the selling tag of getting in the 'live' game before the launch. So in that respect, you can call Saturday a soft launch, but it was still a launch, the people playing today are going to be subbed to your game for at least a month. If you sell a service (early access) and fail at providing that service, people are going to be pissed.
This is not any different than if you preordered the game and SE decided you weren't getting your little kitty cap. Nobody probably is going to care, but they are not delivering on what they promised (kitty cap). Same principle with early access. Promise something to pre-order customers and then fail to deliver and expect bitching.

Anyway, once you're on gilg, it's fine. I just logged into it instantly with no lag in sight. All the servers have been having the dumb 3 hour downtimes, not just gilg.
I went home for lunch and logged in, 3 in queue. Got in just fine. After the time where people have to buy the game and pay actual money things will be fine. I wouldn't be shocked to see the server load drop by 50%. On the one hand picking Gilgamesh was not the best idea. On the other all servers have been screwed pretty much the same.

so early access (being access in general) is not immune to interruption. so again what the fuck was your point in that retarded post about a free xbox.

My friends rolled on Leviathan. I played some in Beta 4 but didn't like the race/class combo I played so I deleted my characters and was going to start fresh come Saturday. Had I known I would not have been able to make a new character, I would have made the desired class/race combo I liked in Beta 4.
Come the week before launch, I couldn't enter my code to get my pre-order code, I kept getting Error 3. I waited up until 3am on Saturday morning to try to get my pre-order code but kept getting error 3. I even set my alarm for 5am, getting 2 hours of sleep, to get up and get my pre-order code to patch and make my character but I still could not as I was still getting error 3, so I said fuck it and went to bed.
At 10am I got up and was able to enter my code to get my pre-order code (why the fuck they made you do this is beyond me.) I patched and went to make my character and Leviathan was LOCKED. It has stayed locked since then. Moogle, Gilgamesh and Leviathan have been permanently locked.
Then all the other servers started locking.
After one maintenance, I made a character on Behemoth and started playing only to have the servers crash. Then when they came back up all servers were locked for new characters and you couldn't even get in on servers you had made a character on. You'd get Error 1017 and just have to re-pound your keyboard to try to get in as they locked all servers with no que at all, it was just random if you made it in or not. I was not about to sit at my keyboard for an hour or two and try to play.
So I rolled on Garuda, a Japanese server and am playing there.
I am playing solo though, as some, not all of my friends, are playing on Leviathan. One of our guild leaders is fucked as well because his character was bugged in beta so he deleted him and is now in the same position I am, stuck not being able to make a character on our server.
This is by far one of the SHITTIEST launches I have ever experienced in my MMO history and that dates back to 1993 with Neverwinter Nights on AOL.
i feel for you, i really do. i was really looking forward to rollin on gilg. unfortunetly we choose the same server as reddit and are now fucked. when you said you couldnt play i assumed you couldnt even log in. my friends and i just choose a low pop servers (they were in beta and left their chars behind) so we could all play together. shit sucks but there are solutions. either you and pals reroll on another server or you keep trying to get in. it also sounds like there will be char transfers in the future so a 3rd option mite be open later.
ill admit ive been lucky. i dont play at 3am (i sleep at night) so i missed alot of maintences and i worked this weekend. i also choose a low pop server immediately because i figured more problems would arise if gilg was already locked from the start. however should i find myself locked out, ill just fuck around til its fixed. no sense in refreshing the login, it only pisses you off more.
if you take it for what it is, new mmo launching and there will be bumps in the road then its all good. just thank god the gameplay is pretty damn good. id take a shitty launch over a shitty game anyday.
