I think the point is that when you compare FF XIV ARR to anything , anything released in the last few years it trumps everything for anyone who wants more of a standard fantasy mmo.

TERA , Neverwinter , TSW , and the jokes of half assed games like Dragon Prophet , Darkfall , etc all really , really make ARR look very very good in actual gamplay terms. Even GW2 in comparison if you hate the watered down class system and prefer tank/healer and so on doesn't stand up.

The 1017 to all the other errors suck , and their support and communication is piss poor , but for gameplay honestly it trumps everything launch wise back to WoW for me anyway. I can't think of one since WoW I enjoyed this much at launch including WAR and SWTOR which were massive disappointments to me(when actually getting to play.)

Now it's an extreme dropoff to me when compared to WoW , EQ , DAOC , but anything modern in comparison it beats for the moment.

Game is good.

Seans wrong about the tokens, You can constantly farm Castrum for 150 tokens a run.

Tokens give you your first raid equipment ( Darklight Armor)to prepare for the new raids coming out very soon.

Theres also a Relic weapon quest to be worked on.

No, there is no End Game you fucking fucktard. ONE DUNGEON for gear progression is not and will never be an End Game. They should have more than One Dungeon for Gear Progression at level fucking 50. That's absurd and you're an idiot for crying that I leveled too fast, you nitwit.

That there is not at least 3-4 viable dungeons at 50 + is some serious bullshit. For how long this game has been in development, it's pathetic.

You do realize that I'm not just whining that there are no raids, right? I'm bitching because there's not even any fucking dungeons to run outside of Amdapor Keep.

What the fuck is wrong with YOU dude? How could not be pissed that there's not more than one dungeon.

Running Castrum, that shitty 8 man group story quest that drops nothing but Philosophy tokens, is retarded over running AK. You're an idiot for suggesting it.

I wouldn't buy the game now (if you could). You'll find very few servers allowing you to make a character and even if you did, you will be confronted with login errors on an almost constant basis unless you wake up at the crack of dawn. Just remember, all of that is so that group one (the ones who are in game now) have a great game experience.

AK gives you 100 of those tokens + 40 Mythology tokens + the best armor you can get outside of tokens and takes 25-30 minutes. Castrum gives younothingbut Philosophy tokens and is a shitty 8 man story quest that takesforeverto run and queue for.

Different tokens. Mythology only drop on primals, bahamut coils and amdapor. Other tokens drop in like every fucking where, including story instances, lvl 35+dungeons and the high level shit. There is however more than farming amdapor, the point of farming amdapor is doing bahamut coils. You could in theory just do bahamut coils I assume? Probably wipe a bunch but eh there is a 5part 8man raid level dungeon, not just farming tokens.

You are capped on those tokens just like you said. Your first line of progression is to equip the first tier up which is darklight armor.
Everyone is running Castrum constantly for that exact reason, it yields more tokens then anything right now.

Who ques solo for anything, get in a guild and farm it.

No, all of us (or I was until my account fucked up, but the people in guildthat are still on are) are running Ampador because it is way, way more efficient and faster and it fills in all your gear slots in the meantime of getting Darklight. Anyone who runs Castrum is an idiot.

is there a way around this "unable to update the Group NA/EU character list" error shit? Does that mean its just 100% down and to stop trying, or is it just being overrun and you are able to get in eventually if you keep trying?

They suspended sales of the game (for 2 weeks?) so you can't even buy it now. There are people selling keys on e-bay for triple the original cost WTF

Castrum is an easy run in a guild group, takes no time at all. Thats why most of my guild is equipped right now, and still running the other instance.

I got my key from offgamers, was ?22 which is around ?7 more than amazon, but still seemed pretty reasonable and instant delivery.

Either way we have a raid team ready allready. We run both instances constantly. It acutelly more then 150 tokens because each boss also drops 20 each.

They both take no time at all.

No, I'm not moron. If you paid fucking attention you'd know that I haven't been able to play once the EA time ran out due to their idiotic account system.
