After healing both PLD and WAR in full Darklight through Amdapor Keep, Ifrit (HM), Garuda (HM), and umm... just out and about; I find it infinitely more relaxing healing a PLD. Which it should be I guess because of the way the two classes work. It is easily possible to do the current content with either, but it is a little more spammy with WAR taking slightly more damage while being healed for a bit more as well. The disparity becomes less apparent when they're both fully equipped in current end game, but a brand new PLD entering somewhere like AK is easier to heal than a moderately geared WAR.So what's you high level folks opinions on the two tank classes ? After I get a scholar up I want to do a tank on a different server and race just for the heck of it , and wondered if there seems to be any preference between paladin and warrior ?
Agent Ricardo L: I see your issue here and would like to assist you on escalating your request.
You: Awesome!
Agent Ricardo L: Unfortunately, your ticket does not verify. However, since you have already submitted one, we can move into the second tier of verification procedures. Please provide us with the following information:
Name
Date of birth
Email address
Full street address
Phone number
Security token serial number
Agent Ricardo L: Thank you Dan. Please hold while your ticket is escalated.
You: ok!
Agent Ricardo L: I have escalated your ticket. This request could take of up to 2 weeks, but it might take just a couple of days or hours. Please keep checking your mog station for any updates.
Agent Ricardo L: Are there any different issues I can assist you with right now?
You: What should I expect the status of my ticket to be? Should it stay open "In Progress" should it move to an escalted state or should it be closed?
Agent Ricardo L: At the moment it is escalated.
You: My original ticket went in last Thursday. I assume the up to 2 weeks starts now though?
Agent Ricardo L: That is correct
You: When the ticket closes does that mean it has been resolved?
Agent Ricardo L: Not always. In this case, it might say close, but it could still be on the escalation list.
You: I have 2 more questions but here is an image I posted on the forum of a support email I wrote specifically to you
You: Link to Page 293
Agent Ricardo L: Now that you know for sure that your ticket has been escalated, it will stay there until the issue is resolve.
You: What is the point of making everyone sit in queue or on hold for hours? If I didn't sit in queue today for 1.5hours would my ticket just not be addressed? Would everyone who sat in queue have theirs addressed first?
Agent Ricardo L: Unfortunately, we require customers in need to have their service accounts merged to fill out a specific ticket.
Agent Ricardo L: After that, we required for the customer to contact us back to escalate the request.
You: Weird, seems like an odd process. If they are filling out the form doesn't that mean they need it to happen?
Agent Ricardo L: There are filling out forms, but not the right kind of form we require. The difference is the terms that we require customers to agree upon before the request is made.
You: Would make more sense if SE just posted that form online. It would stop us from all having to sit in queue. Finally....There is a 600+ page thread with all these questions on the forum. Link to page 293
I think people would appreciated it if there were definitive answers. It would probably move the queues a bit faster as well
Agent Ricardo L: Even if you fill out the right kind of form, we still need for the customer to contact us in order to process the request as stated on the term on the ticket.
You: ok, just seems bat shit crazy to me.
You: Thanks again Ricardo
That thread is comedy from the idiot posters who don't realize what it's intended for. There are many who post the info they ask about ISP and add they haven't been able to register and get their account working. Because that obviously is the same as those of you having actual ISP throttling issues.Ugh looks like I might have this problem here:http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...P2P-throttling
Its fucking stupid because it does not solve the problem. I mean by how much can they increase their sever capacity and still have a good player experience? Damn straight they should of had server transfers as a part of this. Also how does this help the poeple which rolled on a second server because they could not get on with their buddies or guilds, whatever? Now they have a lv 30-50 character they will have to drop if they want to play with their bros? For some reason I'm betting they don't realize how much better it would be to immediately allow transfers to the new servers to balance the load out and just put them up new with no transfers.
i wasn't sure what the replies were when I first read it. I see...That thread is comedy from the idiot posters who don't realize what it's intended for. Fucking idiots.
oh 100% agree , what I meant is if they had in place and ready to go a "hey we are opening transfers , including wholesale guild transfers to these 10 new NA servers immediately" , that would allow folks to get back together with whoever from split servers due to the issues you mentioned. Its fucking stupid because it does not solve the problem. Again, adding new servers, like you said, is only good for people that are new.
On around my 15th dungeon run I saw sleep for the first time, and when more things started going to sleep my mind went *sploosh*It is fun to see people get shocked when I Sleep all the adds in an encounter except the one that is being Focus Fired down. They have gotten so used to the WoW-ified pussy notion of crowd control only ever effecting one mob at a time that the whole concept snaps their little minds.
Yes, 7 days is better than 0 days. Is 7 days enough to offset the login server bullshit that we've all had to put up with, given that it has existed since early access? What do you think?better than 0.
I vote no. What do I win?Yes, 7 days is better than 0 days. Is 7 days enough to offset the login server bullshit that we've all had to put up with, given that it has existed since early access? What do you think?
At level 20 there are two ways for a glad to get threat - an rather wimpy aoe threat move that uses mana and will NOT hold off heal aggro by itself (and a dps will plow aggro within two moves), or a single target 1-2 combo where only the 2nd hit gives bonus threat. Generally that means for a pack of three we toss our ranged move, aoe once, then start our 1-2 on the main target, then 1 on the main target again, then 2 on one add, then a 1 back on the main target, then a 2 on the other add, then back to the main target. Combo the main a few more times then toss out another +hate move on an add. This is pretty much the only way to hold threat on everything at once.. Note that all of this takes 20 seconds just to get better-than-heal threat on each of the 3 mobs, and may not even keep the dps from pulling the marked target. In reality I tend to not care if the DPS target gets pulled off of me because it will be low health and I'm more concerned about the healer. So do tanks not have many aggro gaining abilities around level 20 or are the people I've met just terrible? In every dungeon I've done except for one the second I cast a single heal I get charged by nearly every single mob, even when waiting until the tank is on around 30% before casting the first heal.
So they are quite confident the new servers/infrastructure will fix the duty finder/login servers being max'd.Digital Copies back on sale @Amazon
If you read their posts, they have been testing it all weekend. Them moving forward Wednesday was with the caveat that the testing went well, so they must feel pretty confident. So they are quite confident the new servers/infrastructure will fix the duty finder/login servers being max'd.
I'd go out on limb saying they maybe should have waite a wee bit and actually tested that theory out first ?
The shitstorm that's going to happen if the 1017 beast is still around is going to be amusing.
