Oh I'm hoping so , believe me I am really enjoying the game.
I'm just guessing from their track record over the past month is all that the "testing" in no way will truly simulate real world load now that they've opened the floodgates back up with new sale,s in addition to the not being able to handle the load currently , will result in clusterfuck yet again on logins.
But they did shut down the whole game once to fix it , maybe they really did learn their lesson on the 1017 shit the past couple weeks.
What time do the NA/EU servers all come back up anyway ?
NM , just read it's 3am PDT , so tomorrow night will be the fun test.

Yeah, I dont know much about server infrastructure for an MMO, but all this from the beginning seems sophomorish to me. In other words, this does not give me warm fuzzies. Also, do not underestimate word of mouth. This game is like the hot thing right now, so its safe to assume some big sales and a whole swath of new noobs entering this week. It kind of reminds me of like WoW was back in the beginning months. Everybody has to have it.
In fact its like the only game in memory since WoW that has been this popular and good word of mouth.

From what I understand, there are two things happening tonight. Adding servers and adding capacity to duty finder. The duty finder is the reason for the hard cap of 5k on all servers or else we'd be in 3012 hell again. So the theory is once they add capacity, the caps get lifted and thus there is no need to transfer. I think the new servers are for new players . My concern is I don't see anything that addresses their lobby issues, that is what has been killing them lately, almost as much as 1017. I got a feeling the server lists are going to have trouble staying up for the next few days.
As far as popularity, I think the first week of Rift had this many interested or pretty close to it.

I have Horizon set to be my favored loc , and have done that choco ride from Hor to VB hundreds of times it seems. That valley between them should be trampled from all the traffic.
While we're at it, why the hell isn't there an Aetheryte shard next to the Crystals in town? Not only that, every shard is maximum distance from the crystal. Its strange.
If I ran through the game again, Horizon and Drybone would of been my 2 favorite locations for the level up phase.
Are you talking about the main port crystal you teleport to ? If so you click on aeth in it's menu and it lets you use it the same way to the others in town.
Something you learned today, there are actually 2 different threat meters built into the UI.
The party list shows you a traditional percentage based bar - with your current target as the focus of the length of the bars.
The enemy list also has a built in threatmeter. The icons change from green, to yellow, to orange, to red depending on how much threat you have against each monster in the pull. Healers will generally have at least a little threat on every mob, so healers will have the entire pack on their enemy list.

Theres some real long haul poopsocker achievements in this game. Relic weapon on every class, all the gathering metas. Better start buying more socks.
I'm pretty sure the lobby server instability is caused by all us impatient fucks using scripts and flooding it with login attempts.

Are there less available quests in your non starting town?
I started as a gladiator and have always had a bunch of quests to do up to level 18 so far (haven't had time to play)
ran to the forest city, and got my conjurer to 13, but i can't find any quests to do around there for him?

Ahh.. okay, so continue as the "primary" class then for awhile i guess? I was unlocking the airship shit, but didnt finish the full quest, I'm guessing I should do that
