Does askmrrobot not take set bonuses into account when it tells you what pieces are upgrades? Wanted to check what out of normal hfc was an upgrade while speccd prot, and only like 10 pieces(3 of them rings) in the whole zone were listed, with only one of them being a tier piece, even though nearly all of my gear is dps stuff.

Very few pieces are spec specific anymore. Neck, cloak, rings, and trinkets. It is probably hard for it to take set bonuses into account for tanking. Some tanking set bonuses are really good while others suck. It is better to read reddit, mmo-champion, or icy veins.

I don't follow any of those things, I just plan out what stats I need and aim for that. I like to feel like I am at least making part of the decision on what I upgrade to.
Thanks for the advice. Yeah, icy veins says to take the 4 piece tier, and other than that follow askmrrobot's suggestions.

Just a heads up tonight if the raid does happen, make sure you have mumble installed. I haven't been on our server In a year but it's still there.

I was a raid tank in EQ, but I never got into WoW the same way...I might be willing to do it in a few months if I'm still playing and raiding. What classes can tank raids in WoW now? I have an 85 Paladin somewhere, but I think he's Alliance.

Thanks for the hard carry. It was a great idea to completely change my UI and also on April Fool's since apparently the people at TukUI have a sense of humor. Didn't notice until after the raid that the settings I thought I couldn't find weren't there.

I couldn't see my combo points and thought I just didn't have them checked or something. That message was in my general chat tab which wasn't up during the raid heh.

Good raid, 7 bosses down. We had some pretty hard carries, so that helped.
