The team I inherited is pretty damn awful; the potential keepers aren't really that amazing. Nelson was going to be a keeper but he had to break himself. Definitely starting an uphill battle.

As was mine last year. That's kind of what makes this league fun though. 16 teams + massive roster means you have to really dig deep. I had players on my team last year that I'm pretty sure took under 10 snaps the entire season.

Uh, why is my team given to Snu Snu? I posted in this thread I was in, if I missed a poll, shit has been a bit crazy here in the land of the RL for me this month but I had my keepers picked....I even did a pre draft trade and we talked about the trade here. Give me my team back!

So, the free agent auction budget -- is that $100 what you get for the entire season with no way to add to it or get reimbursed?

I don't know, that's why I was asking the question. I've seen other leagues, at least, where you can get back what you paid for someone if you drop them before they play a game for you.

Knowing whether that's all I get or if there's some other way it changes is useful information when it comes to making free agency choices.

I set it when I set draft picks so people could plan accordingly. We always do it as close to the season as possible to avoid injury drafting

That's my girlfriend's birthday, heh, of all the days. Should be interesting trying to manage that. I'll be one of those guys sneaking away to the bathroom five times in an hour. Or, in reality, I might actually have to spend some time setting up my autodraft lineup.
