You've heard bowling is racist because a black ball knocks over all the white pins with red necks? Pool is equally racist... a white ball putting all the colored balls into holes and saving the black ball for last.

Speaking as an annoying know it all Evolutionary Biology guy..
Evolution doesn't have shit to do with adversity or getting stronger. Heck most of the time it fucks over species by giving them deleterious mutations if anything. One can make the point that adversity in terms of changing environmental factors creates opportunities for Evolution to work within but the idea that it works towards the betterment of a given species is false. Evolution means change and nothing else. 95%+ of the time a given genetic change does jack shit, 4.9% of the time it kills you and that golden .1% actually works out. It's amazing that anything manages to stay alive to be frank but when you have hundreds of millions of years to work with the slight changes (usually) evolution produces together with Directional Selection (individuals that have a beneficial trait survive more often to reproductive age in a given environment and thus have a hugely greater chance of passing on said trait) then you see dramatic effects like speciation and the like.

Speaking of being rustled.. I rustled myself at myself earlier.. I called a dude out for being curt/rudeish at his waitress earlier and the jerk ended up hunting me down to give me my hat I'd left at the bar. I should someday learn to keep my mouth shut.

That saying you see your life flash before your eyes before you die, well what if I’m dying and experiencing a lifetime in those few microseconds of remaining consciousness. How would I really know? Shit has gone absolutely crazy, so maybe that’s my brain dying and affecting the memories used in the flash experience. Berenstain bears? Clearly I’m dying.
