This is called a rhetorical grid. You can figure out the rhetorical grid of pretty much any place if you listen for long enough.
A rhetorical grid contains an X-Y grid, where the location of any statement made within that group can be localized. It also can help describe why the statements make the sense they do to members of that community.
The grid has positive and negative value positions. The upper right quadrant will naturally describe the best or most interesting statements, but the entire right half describes the "position" of the group since the Y axis is far less important to group solidarity than the X axis.
