This same thing happened to me when I was in the Navy back in the 80s
Was flying home from Navy "A" school in Dam Neck, Va. Got to the Airport Late (damn Taxi) and missed my flight so had to take a later one. Only a few hours late so didn't call the wife back home to inform her as she was working and I was taking a cab home from the airport anyways. So I broke out my New DragonLance novel and started reading to kill time. Plane I missed crashed in Dallas with (IIRC) no survivors. As I had never informed my wife of my change of planes she was under the impression I was still on that flight...Needless to say had some good OMG you're still alive sex that night.

About to wrap up Chrono Trigger for the first time. Missed it due to it hitting around me turning 16 and becoming interested in titties and cars.
Perhaps sacrilegious - but I like FF6 better. Found this at our best local retro store. Probably grossly overpriced relative to EBay.

Thats cool. Im currently piddling my way through Chrono Trigger myself. Bought it on steam for like 3 bucks last week. We were all dirt bikes and 4 wheelers when Super NES was popular.
Seeing this guy on the bridge just made me laugh. Idek why.

I lost patience with some of the side quests and hunting and pecking a few timelines.Thats cool. Im currently piddling my way through Chrono Trigger myself. Bought it on steam for like 3 bucks last week. We were all dirt bikes and 4 wheelers when Super NES was popular.

I’m playing on a Raspberry Pi using Retroarch and running to an actual CRT TV. I did buy Chrono Cross for a few bucks on sale recently too. Man, I spent so much fucking time maining MMOs or D3 then PoE that I missed pretty much 15 years of single player games. Add in that I actually have other time consuming hobbies and kids now and I have a lifetime worth of games to play.
I’m still sitting on Illusion of Gaia and Secret of Mana on my SNES to play.

It's been argued to death over the decades - I think FFVI has the higher peaks, but CT packs everything into a much shorter runtime - it's all killer, no filler.
I would advise against trying the alternate timeline-quel Chrono Cross, however.
But it is weird that the best version of a soundtrack for a game referencing Flea and Slash.. is jazz based.

Illusions of Gia is a underrated game, at least at its time- I think now it gets good credit as due… and there are many, in the feels parts to that game.

Was that Delta Flight 191? I flew into DFW a week after that crash and saw the burn marks when I flew out on a connecting flight.
