Can confirm, had to use one of those when I broke my jaw so they could get a panoramic x-ray of my mandible. Not moving your head isn't a problem since the one they put me in had a plastic thing you bite down on to hold your head stationary. Hard to bite down with a broken jaw though. Was going to post a GIS for broken jaw, but it was all gore, so here's a bunny eating a cherry:
